Great location, perfect place to stay on your Monteverde adventure!

Pros: Location is great, short walk to lots of things to see and do. We got there easily from Santa Teresa using Transporzuma! Lots of night walks locally, and the shuttle to the Cloud Forest will collect/drop you back to the lodge. Staff were really friendly, kitchen fully equipped for cooking and storing food. Our room was gorgeous, glass wall looking out to the trees with lots of wildlife visits (monkeys, birds and even spotted a group of Coati! Great value for money, will definitely return.

Cons: The only thing to mention was lack of hot water. There is only hot water at certain times of the day (which didn't include the morning or evening) so it must be during the day when most people would be out exploring. It was warm weather enough for me to have cold showers but a warm shower in the morning or night after hiking would have been great.

Pros: We loved Location of the property and enjoyed seeing the Coates on the balcony 😀 Bed is a little hard but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. No aircon or fans in the room, a fan would be a good addition. Aircon isn't necessarily required as it is a little cooler in monteverde than other places.

Pros: Our room was very comfortable, big and in a good spot. There is a nice shared area with kitchen (with quite some equipment), dinning area, books and games. The owner is very friendly and helpful (recommended to us a small unpaid hike to St. Luis). Very good value for the price.

Nice, budget hotel

Pros: Good location, nice people, I had a room with balcony & forest view + monkey visiting as a bonus. , clean& fresh linen. Coffee ready in the kitchen every morning. I was happy with my choice, but if you are after high standards you will most likely be disappointed.

Cons: It could do with renovation & deep cleaning - however for the price I’m not really complaining.
