Helpful staff and great location
Pros: Really helpful reception staff! Great view out across the town and down to the coast (when clear).
Cons: Annoying there’s no refund on cancelling subsequent nights with over 24 hours notice - 50% would be a good compromise given the popular location and option to re-book the room.

In general a good option for a short stay
Pros: Great location. Most of personal was very present. They booked all tours for us with better prices than agencies had. Breakfast was sufficient as for the price we paid for the room. Availability of kitchen was very helpful at least in case you want to make some coffee/tea or want to cut some fruits.
Cons: There was no wardrobe in the room. Old facilities in the bathroom. The wind was feeling very strong inside of the room, there was an impression of huge hurricane that will ruin your room and the whole hotel.

Cozy B&B with a great view
Pros: Staff was really helpful and friendly. They booked me all transportation needed. Breakfast was really good.
Cons: Electrical problems occurred twice. The second time happened so late, there was nobody at the lobby to help. But it was so late, I just went to sleep.

Nice place to stay in Monteverde.
Pros: Great location. Our room was located separately from the main hostel with a great view on the opposite hill. The staff was very kind.
Cons: You have to choose what time you will have breakfast which leave less flexibility in the morning. Noisy room, can hear the road a lot.

Choose this place for the common area
Pros: The common area, with the view over the town and the mountain, is the real draw, with an excellent breakfast a nice bonus. I did feel the room a bit damp due to poor aeration, but then you're in an urban area. And there's nothing you can do about the moto revving on empty roads; apparently, noise pollution hasn't become a trend yet.

Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again.
Pros: We stayed in a double room with kitchen and it was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and spacious, with an incredible view. The included breakfasts were delicious and generous, and the dining room and patio with swinging chairs was a great place to hang out and meet the other travellers staying in the hostel rooms. An easy walk into the town centre. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful, and assisted with making all our tour arrangements, and the kitchen staff were also amazing.
Cons: The constant high wind during the dry season rattled the loose windows.

Not our fave from Costa Rica
Pros: General location good. Breakfast each morning prepared
Cons: We were told on arrival we had to pay additional money which we hadn't expected. When you book and get told the amount you'll pay at the property, you don't expect to end up paying more. We may have chosen a different place had we known Lots of rules. Not sure if this is down to pervious guests but it felt too much - we're on holiday. Also didn't like that when we checked out they went to check the room before processing. It made us feel like they didn't trust us. Our least favourite experience in CR.

A hostel & B+B in one
Pros: The staff were friendly, the apartment was spotless and there was a free breakfast on offer plus the view
Cons: I felt a bit rushed on check in, I'd just arrived from the bus, was a little travel sick and overheating but was asked many questions about the time I wanted breakfast, pick ups, tours, it would have been nice to have a moment to think, I did try to, but felt pressured to make a decision It is also not for the light sleeper, you can hear everything next door and downstairs, people walking passed and the road, there are too many motos riding back and forth with suped up engines at speed - I have stayed in Monteverde before and usually sleep well

Nice stay
Pros: Nice stay. Studio with a nice view. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. They organise your tour to the reserves: a bus comes to pick you up at the hotel, and drop you there too once back from your trip. Close to supermarket/restaurant, and only a 10-min walk from the bus terminal.
Cons: Very noisy because of the strong wind.
