Asha Hostel

Pros: Very good value for money. Close to the Bogarin trail and town. Good kitchen, hot showers. Fan and light next to the bed. Great staff always on hand.

Cons: Nothing!

Good budget place to discover la fortuna

Pros: In general fine place to stay , friendly owner and in general nice bed

Cons: No door on the dorms , can be noisy etc No lockers for valuables

Excellent value but lacks a bit of atmosphere

Pros: Asha Hostel has wonderful new facilities - the beds, the common area, internet connection, bathrooms, kitchen, everything is new and clean and well-kept. The price is unbeatable.

Cons: It was lacking atmosphere a little bit, and the manager (who is a very kind and helpful man) runs another business, so he's not always immediately available. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but the is a fan which worked well. Honestly though, for the price, and for the location and quality and cleanliness, this is a great deal.

Private room

Pros: I got the private room which was very spacious and included a kitchen. Had a nice homey feel. Maintenance needed in some areas, ex. Stools were falling apart, some of the taps weren't sealed in so they flopped around and kitchen cleaning supplies were well used. New hostel so there weren't many people but staff were awesome!

Pros: The people are very friendly and make you feel welcome. They give good advice for trip and transportation. You can book directly with them. Dorm was clean, bed was fine and facilities also. I recommend if you come to La Fortuna. Best price in the city I think and for a quality hostel with nice people.

Pros: Top Hostel with comfortable beds! They got a nice chill bar next to the hostel and everything in town is pretty easy to reach. Warm showers as well and the owner is committed for everything! Addiotionally they got the best kitchen knives i used during my trip so far ;)

Pros: Comfy and big beds with own lamp and electric socet and big storage for bag next to te bed. Warm and clean showers. Owner was great, he helped us a lot. He took us to free hot springs which was really nice.

Enjoyable place to stay in La Fortuna

Pros: Location is sufficiently good, short walk from the centre. The dorm I had was nice, with lots of room (shelves) to organize my stuff. Showers are pretty nice, with good shower gel supplied by hostel. Staff is helpful and price is decent.

Cons: The dorm has only a fan, no AC. Could be bad if we were more than 2 in the 8-person dorm. The bathroom (sink + mirror) is basically located in the reception, which is kinda weird.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Very peaceful and quite there. The rooms and all place is spacious and clean, beds are perfect with some private space for yourself. The owner is friendly and helpful. Great spot for backpackers.

Pros: The owner is a very interesting and friendly person, the place is amazing, you feel at home. Yhere is a beautiful garden. And it's very cheap.
