San jose airport stopover

Pros: Lovely traditional looking hotel. Close to the airport, with a free one way transfer to the airport.

Cons: The room smelt a bit like smoke and a in need of a bit of tlc

Pros: Simple easy to reach and near the airport as we wanted

Cons: It was not an exciting place where I’d like to spend my holiday. But it does what it says in the tin. It’s near the airport!

Pros: Not too far from the SJO airport. Nice restaurant adjacent to the hotek, dinner was very good. Otherwise, solid no frills hotel, recommended for a 1 night stay.

Pros: Always our favourite first stop in costa rica, quiet despite being close to the road with a lovely swimming pool

Good enough for one night

Pros: Proximity to the airport for a late evening landing

Cons: No flexibility to add even 20 mins to check out time - I had asked if it would be ok for us to leave the room with our luggage but only I stay in the room for 20 more mins because my baby had fallen asleep. I was told not possible. So I had to wake my baby. We hang out at the lobby for the next hour while waiting for the car and noone seemed to be in a hurry to go clean that particular room.. Oh, well

Pros: The restaurant was still open on late arrival. Very convenient to airport with free pick-up. Beautiful gardens and the kids loved the pool. Great breakfast.

Cons: The sound of nearby traffic might bother you for longer stays.

Pros: Beautiful place surrounded by wonderful trees and plants. Cactus Restaurant attached to hotel is really nice. Great food also vegan, and special homemade beers and kombucha. Breakfast was very good, and Breakfast staff very very kind.

Good place to stay for one night if you’re catching a flight the next day.

Pros: Good place to stay for one night if you want quick access to the airport. Free shuttle was a bonus. Had a pool and a restaurant so no need to go out of the hotel.

Cons: Limited menu as it was Mexican night so only a few Mexican dishes on offer for dinner.
