Hotel La Rosa de America

Pros: The gardens and the pool were lovely. The room was comfortable and clean

Cons: The food was only average

Excellent relaxing calm stay

Pros: Lots of small buildings wuth rooms on the property, good bed and shower. All clean. The bright lights and lamps are a bit too bright for me. Breakfast is good enough: bread, banana bread or carrot cake, scrambled eggs, rice, fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice. Swimming pool is amazing. There are 5 lounge chairs. Hotel is easily reachable with Uber, 15 minute drive from the airport, make sure to walk up the escalator stairs at the airport, which you will find when crossing the zebra crossing in the street on arrival outside. It is nice and calm, good dinner but no cosy place to eat unless you eat at the pool. Kind service at the hotel, excellent wifi. Big parking area for cars, safely behind the gate. Excellent piña colada

Cons: The breakfast room inside is not so cosy to sit, also not for dinner. The outside breakfast area is much better. Lots of commuting people are up at 05:30 to go to work and you can hear a bit of motorbijes and cars sometimes.

Pros: The location was very good. Close enough from the airport to be very convenient but not noisy. Sweet little bungalows set in a tropical garden and planting. The pool was very good to swim in. Staff were very accommodating, and we were allowed to stay by the pool till 3pm after we checked out to wait for our evening flight.

Pleasant hotel, ideal for stopover before travelling from airport

Pros: This is a fairly small friendly hotel with individual cabins and pretty gardens. Meals available, only 20 mins or less from the airport

Pros: What a quaint quiet little place in beautiful lush surroundings. Staff spoke English and were extremely helpful and friendly. Nice pool and area to relax. Enjoyed a delicious meal!

Beautiful gardens!

Pros: Not my first time there and won't be the last. It's a lovely place, beautiful gardens, comfortable cabinas. Restaurant on site, excellent breakfast.

Cons: No fridge or coffee maker in the room. Yes, there's coffee available in reception but not till at least 7.00AM. Thats 2 hours wait for me. And no fridge is a bigger problem. We all travel with perishable items or want to keep drinks cold. It was a long walk, carrying all my stuff, from the parking lot to my cabina even though I asked to be close. There were closer cabinas that were empty. I expect they had their reasons but...

Pros: Good location close to the airport, although traffic at 6pm meant it took 1.5 hours to get there!! Value for money.

A convenient place to stay for a couple of nights at the end of our stay in Costa Rica

Pros: Great location, convenient for Alajuela and airport, comfortable beds, good gallo pinto breakfast.

Cons: Rather noisy

Pros: Great breakfast. Quiet room, nice Pool for an early jetlag swim. Super helpful taxi driver booked by hotel who helped us find our car hire place and liaised with reception when our flight was delayed to make sure we could still check-in

Pros: Amazing helpful staff and nice food / breakfast

Cons: Loud. Windows couldn't fully close so you heard everything from the gardens and nearby roads.
