A convenient, well-placed hotel and they serve a very tasty breakfast

Pros: This is a comfortable and convenient hotel but without doubt the best thing about it is Luis who was not only friendly and helpful but also encouraged me to practice my Spanish!

Clean, friendly and very good value

Pros: A short walk from the centre of town but in a quiet safe neighbourhood, I selected this for the value but found it much better than expected. The host, Luis, is a considerate helpful and friendly man whose pride in his establishment if evident everywhere you look. Our room was small and fairly basic - but clean, functional and with good a/c when needed. The breakfast was excellent local food.

Cons: Nothing - it was better than expected! I'd have liked some decaf coffee but that is rare in Costa Rica
