We enjoyed great wildlife viewing in a serene and comfortable environment.
Pros: The property is remote, but very easy to find with effective signs marking the entire trip. Road is a bit bumpy, but I don't believe you would need 4x4 unless there were heavy rains and mud. The check-in was efficient and welcoming. You park your car and are then shuttled to your room by van. The cabina was generous size, clean and well appointed. Coffee maker and (very) small refrigerator provided. The mattresses are very comfortable and we slept well. The pool, hot springs, dining, etc are all dispersed around the large property, creating an open campus like feel. Wildlife is abundant!! We saw spider and howler monkeys, many iguanas, rabbits, many birds (including a marvelous Tiger Heron that hung out with us for a whole afternoon at the pool). The restaurant is large and has good views, room service was available as well.
Cons: Few things that struck me: 1) We would prefer a king size mattress option. 2) The food was ok, but not great. Slow to get things like butter, salt, picante, water, etc. 3) Towels only available at reception, which is a long distance from the pools. 4) It is a very steep property, ideal for guests who want a good hike to enjoy the features. But, if it's raining, or you just don't want to walk the steep incline, it would be good to have a way to contact shuttle service. The recreation area was rarely staffed during our visits to the hot springs. 5) There are some areas that need a little love (chipped or peeling concrete, broken wood, exposed screws on deck, etc.)

Beautiful cabins in lovely grounds. Birds, iguanas and monkeys galore, coatis and agoutis.
Pros: The resort grounds are beautiful and we saw so much wildlife just on the property itself. The cabins are very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very friendly.
Cons: The restaurant menu didn't change, so fir a week's stay it was repetitive. Food was OK, but not exceptional. The resort is not near anything so you need a car!!

Great place to get away
Pros: The buffet breakfast on the last day was good. The staff always great.
Cons: They need to clean the exterior tops of the air-conditioning unit. Covered with who knows what. T.V. remote poor.

Great complex in the midst of nature
Pros: Lovely complex, quiet and serene, full of local wildlife on your doorstep. Spacious and clean villa with bonus of a terrace to sit out. Lovely pool and hot springs areas!
Cons: Food - quality for breakfast and dinner was not so good. Small menu, and can imagine it would be challenging if you were staying longer than a few days. Challenging roads to get to the resort.

Heavenly. We would have stayed longer
Pros: What an unexpected paradise! A dream stay full of incredible experiences on a beautiful campus on a large locally owned ranch full of incredible geothermal vents and waterfalls and gorges!
Cons: The last 4 km of the road to get there. Why they don’t grade it is a mystery.
