Blue River Paradise

Pros: Blue River Resort is an exquisite paradise. It's quite remote to get too. A long bumpy hairpin drive. But its absolutely worth the journey. The grounds are immaculate, and the staff are always hard at work maintaining the grounds. The hot pools are so relaxing and the cold pools with the slide are so fun! Family traveling with 3 kids, and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the staff for hosting us. The food was also very fresh and delicious!

Pros: Rooms are big, clean and nice. Breakfast was good. Property is gorgeous. Mud room, natural sauna. Hot spring was nice

Needs improvements

Pros: The rooms were big and comfortable. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was good and the garden was pretty.

Cons: Most of the attractions didn't work, most of the animals were not there. The only cold pool was dirty. My kids were so excited after seeing the pictures and so disappointed seeing the reality.

Wonderful and would return again.

Pros: Grounds were magnificent and property was very clean. Staff was friendly. Cabins were nice and the balcony was nice to have when it was raining. It was very relaxing and a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Cons: My only concerned was being billed for an excursion I did not do and still have not received my refund. My husband felt the yoga instructor was forceful in her approach. Other than that, no complaints

Pros: A beautiful oasis to wake up in. Birdsong and gardens. Hot springs, butterflies, pools, restaurants all excellent. Nice a quiet in November too. Plenty of room, so relaxing. Nearby raging river to walk to - and rope to get down to - fantastic.

Cons: Unexpectedly terrible road last 15 km. Glad journey wasn't in the rain and dark.

The hot thermal pools, and huge rooms are BEAUTIFUL. Night time in the pools is atmospheric

Pros: The gardens, the hot and cold pools, and the thermal waters are just BEAUTIFUL. Love that you can stay in the pools til 10pm, it's so atmospheric sitting in them at night, with subtle lighting and the sounds of the night forest and gentle music around. Beautiful, large rooms, fantastic bathroom and ample space for hanging clothes. Lots of towels too. Totally recommend this wonderful place.

Pros: A paradise on earth. We loved the beautiful surrounding: the hot natural pools, the natural sauna, the garden with the butterflies. Everything is clean and the horses look healthy. During the day they are on a huge paddock. The children loved the water slide. In the restaurant you have varied really good meals. We did the zip-line and the cathedral waterfall tour, both were fantastic.- good organised and with responsible nice guides. You need a 4x4 car to get there and enough petrol, but then Ressort is easy to reach.

Pros: The most incredible find the resort was beautiful and so much to enjoy. The hot pools and natural sauna were a dream. Accommodation was super spacious and comfortable- the chalets are beautiful

Pros: Great place to chill out and enjoy the hot springs. Due to being 3 hot volcanic pool never seemed busy. a perfect start to our trip.

Cons: There are no shops about. So just remember to bring your snacks with you!
