Hong Kong 🇭🇰

A good choice if you want to stay near downtown San Jose

Pros: Charming property near downtown San Jose. Perfect for a couple of nights to allow time to explore the city. Lovely staff, peaceful, relaxing. And just a 30-second walk from a good al-fresco restaurant.

Cons: We chose the Amon neighbourhood because we'd read that the downtown area to the south could be unsafe after dark. And, in our experience, it was safe. However, the surrounding streets are quiet and a little seedy after the sun goes down. We certainly felt on guard. We returned to the same neaby restaurant both evenings rather than stray too far. But by day, it was fine. If you want to stay in San Jose proper for a couple of nights as we did, we recommend this hotel. But if you're flying in and just want someone to stay overnight before heading to the beach, we would recommend staying closer to the airport.

Pros: The owner was giving us some good tips for going out. When we left she organised us a nice driver after we had technical problems with uber.

Cons: Since some reviews mentioned it, I can imagine you might be able to hear the other rooms, but since the hotel was not that booked, we haven't had any problems.

Very pleasant

Pros: Felt very safe here. There was 24 hour reception and the guy came outside to chat with me every time I went to smoke, which was appreciated and didn't feel overbearing. Very cool patio style building with lots of plants.

Cons: The name has changed from Hotel Inca Real to Amon Real, which made it a little bit stressful at the airport as the taxi driver didn't know where it was. It comes up on Google,maps under Amon Real though.

Para ser un hotel de paso es bueno

Pros: Es un hotel de paso si quieres quedar cerca del terminal caribeño

Cons: En la noche, mucha bulla golpeaban fuerte la puerta de entrada, no salí a mirar, pero al parecer no hay recepcionista.

Pros: Excelente ubicación, el estilo y decoración nos pareció muy bonito, muy cómodo para descansar, las personas a cargo siempre fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron con cada petición.

Cons: Las frutas del desayuno pueden ser mejores.

Lovely place and wonderful staff

Pros: The place is wonderful, well designed and comfy. A very good place to stay. The staff is amazing, very likable and lovely people.

Cons: My pillow was slightly open and was leaking/shedding its filling. The bedside lamp was not working.
