Cedrela Eco-Lodge & Restaurante

Pros: The breakfast was incredible, the best we had in Costa Rica. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food was equally incredible and there was a good choice. Expensive for Costa Rica, but it was worth it for the quality. The view from the bed was great, with a large well placed mirror. It does get cold, but there were plenty of blankets.

Cons: There were a lot of moths in our room - but it's nature, We couldn't park next to the room, but could park only about 50m away.

Pros: Excellent Food… Very cozy Style of the Houses and restaurant. Be Award: it geht’s Suite cold at Night but there is Hearings and enough blankets…

Very enjoyable.

Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, location and atmosphere.

Pros: I liked the location, went to enjoy nature and nature there was! The room has a small balcony, with table and chairs, from which you can see the secondary forest very near. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and a heater was provided in case of cold weather.

Cons: The room is for two persons but there was only one lamp on one side of the bed. Not even a hook to hang towels in bathroom or a place for toiletries. The room and bathroom are small but could be improved for guests comfort. Hot water in shower is provided with a convoluted system with electrical wires exposed! The lodge presumes to offer high quality facilities but the mentioned details show little thought on comfort and/or functionality for guests from the owners or administration side.

An amazing adventure

Pros: Amazing place clean food excellent and staff friendly

Wonderful stopover on the way back to San Jose.

Pros: Breakfast was amazing. The hiking trails around the property were great.

Cons: Dinner was very good, but it cost a small fortune. It gets very cold here at night - pack a good fleece!

Want a cool and exquisite location?

Pros: This was our last stop of a 3-week round trip and a great stop it was. Temperatures are cool at night, chalets are cosy and the showers are warm in the morning (not a given in Costa Rica). The restaurant is exceptional combined with great wines. Great value for money! Including the restaurant.

Cons: The bed cover needed some refreshing and the (electric) shower head system would never be allowed in Europe!

Beyond expectations

Pros: Beautiful location and place. Super friendly support team that can cook magnificent dishes!

Pros: Loved the restaurant. Food was outstanding. Waiting staff were very friendly.

Cons: I was so looking forward to staying here as the reviews were so good, so it was disappointing not to get the bungalow with a patio as advised on our booking. We were a party of 4 travelling together. We were given rooms 8& 9 which were interconnected. No patio/ balcony. We are serious birders and were sorely disappointed that we could not sit at our accommodation and watch the great wildlife that is about. We noticed that other accommodations had balconies so I'm sure others would not have been disappointed. The young staff working here were very friendly and willing to please
