Comfortable and unique accommodation close to Poas volcano

Pros: Very comfortable rooms- loved the hot tubs (on terrace and in bathroom). Staff were very friendly. And accessible to La Paz was great - especially evening when the day trippers have cleared off and the sloths are awake!

Cons: The food was a bit average for this level of hotel. Also would have been nice to have a decent sized pool - there are just a couple of small jacuzzis onsite.

Exceptional hotel and just the perfect way to end an amazing holiday in a beautifl country!

Pros: amazing room and bathroom facilities, beautiful view on to the gardens and park, animals in the park looked happy except the jungle cats looked sad...

Cons: that the breakfast wasn't included in the rate we paid!

Pros: Beautiful property with enough to do for 3 days. Quiet and not overcrowded. Trout grill was great, as were the trails and views. Relaxing and peaceful.

Cons: Dining choices limited for dinner and get redundant after a few days. Food quality is good, but hugely overpriced for what it is. Ubers don't service the area, so you are stuck with the food options on the property (i.e. $5 usd for 1/2 an avocado) and need to arrange a driver to leave the park.

A wonderful stay in this beautiful lodge

Pros: Our family of 5 stayed at Peace Lodge for our last night in Costa Rica. It was the most expensive accommodation of our holiday but the nightly rate includes entry to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and the animal and butterfly sanctuary so we felt it was worth it. It is also only a short drive from San Jose airport which was very convenient. We did the evening animal feeding tour and night frog tour which were both amazing - the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys also caught sone trout in the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our family room was gorgeous with its balcony jacuzzi and lovely views. We had a delicious evening meal with great service in the main restaurant and had the buffet lunch the next day before departing for the airport, which was plentiful, delicious and surprisingly great value for money. All the staff were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and we felt very spoiled throughout our stay.

Cons: Having to leave !

Great spot to open gate to Costa Rica.

Pros: Great mix with nature. You have full nature immersion having opportunity to experience contact with various animals. Rooms perfectly matching jungle experience

Cons: Be prepared for steps, lots of steps. Literally can not go anywhere without passing them (not few). But is also part of experience

Great park and waterfalls, easy trip to Poas

Pros: Being close to the animals and the nature, everyone was very friendly

Unique stay for nature lovers

Pros: Unique property and very friendly staff. We had a garden in our bathroom and hot tub on the balcony! Animal feeding was a great added extra.

Expensive but as a special treat I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Worth the huge expense.

Pros: Everything! The location is beautiful, the grounds kept perfectly, the rooms are incredible, the food and drinks excellent and the service was incomparable. The rainforest trails are wonderful and the conservation efforts (at first we were concerned ir was a zoo but all the animals have been rescued) are inspirational. It was ridiculously expensive but worth every penny.

Cons: The remote location meant that going elsewhere for food or drinks wasn’t really an option, and prices were extremely high.

Perfect hideaway

Pros: Unique lodges, even better then The Springs, huge territory, perfect hideaway. We did feeding animals tour, nice experience, and without crowds of tourists in the morning.

Spectacular

Pros: The surroundings were exceptionally beautiful, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly.
