Lovely hosts and perfect for solo travellers!!
Pros: Edgar and Loly are so lovely!! plus they have an adorable dog! The room was lovely, very clean & the bedding was so soft, and the bathroom was great too!! Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc are all provided. Plus there’s wifi and even a tv in the room! Edgar picked me up from the airport and dropped me off there the next day. They send you pictures of the car and where to meet them so it’s a super easy process! Definitely much better than getting a taxi. The house is the perfect temperature, although there is a fan in the room and a window you can open if you want to change the temperature at all. Really really recommend!! perfect for solo travellers or couples who need a place to stay for the night before a flight!

Pros: A really lovely small hotel. The owner and son are super friendly & helpful. And the son is also a licensed guide, he will take you on a good tour of the volcano, waterfalls etc. If requested you can have a typical and delicious Tico breakfast. Well worth it! So close to the airport and they’ll pick you up. It was perfect for me travelling on my own. Lots of lovely local restaurants and Alajuela town is worth a visit.

Perfect stay in San Jose!
Pros: Wow, a home from home! As a solo female traveller it is so important to stay in safe places and this topped my list so far. I was made to feel so welcome, they even arranged my collection from the airport as my flight arrived quite late, so this ensured I got to the property quickly and safely. The room is huge! Lovely big, comfy double bed, tea station, cold water in a fridge and a large bathroom with shower. I had such a great restful sleep before my onward journey. They made sure I made my bus in the morning, even treated me to my first Costa Rican coffee! I stayed with them again on my final night in San Jose before flying home, making sure I was safe and enjoyed my few weeks of travel. My flight was super early and again they ensured I was at the airport in time. I highly recommend staying here, anytime I travel back to San Jose I will be booking. Very grateful to have felt so welcome and at home so far away from my family and friends, especially over the holidays.

Pros: I had a wonderfull stay with Edgar and his mom. Easy pickup from the airport. They spoke very good English, so for me as a non Spanish speaker (yet) it felt clear and safe. The room was clean and crazy big for such a great prize. Would fully recommend this accommodation for anyone who just comes in to the country and wants to have a peacefull stress free first night!

A perfect hosting experience!
Pros: A perfect hosting experience! Luli and Edgar are such kind-hearted people — they took care of everything I needed, stayed in touch with me every step of the way, and welcomed me into their home with so much dedication. Edgar picked me up from the airport within 10 minutes and also took me back the next day for my connecting flight for a small fee. In the morning, Luli made me coffee and generously served me fresh fruit. The room I stayed in was cozy and clean, with everything I needed. I’m truly grateful I got to meet these lovely people and stay in their home.
