Ceiba Hostel

Very high standard hostel in Costa Rica

Pros: A very beautiful, lovely and lively property. Every part of this property was designed perfectly and lively. Even if just stay whole day long not hanging out, u won't feel bored. The puppy is so lovely.

Cons: My dorm room is least spacious ever.

Laid back garden hostel

Pros: Ceiba Hostel has such a great vibe, garden&chill space, terasse with the volcano view and attracts many interesting people. I enjoyed so much my stay there! I had everything I needed and had a good sleep which is the most important when preparing for a day full of activities.

Cons: It would be such a great gesture to offer earlier breakfast for those who go for the early tours - it sets a tone for the rest of the day. Some shelves and hangers could be added in the showers and bathroom area for more convenience.

Pros: I loved my stay at Ceiba. The staff was very friendly, Josue helped my with tours and when my phone broke. The balcony with views of the volcano is amazing, there is a little garden to hang out, easy to meet other backpackers. The beds are comfortable and each have their own light, plugs and lockers. Also it was very clean and a quiet location at night. Bonus: very cute young hostel dog Mate 🥰

Pros: Great hostel with very friendly staff! Comfortable beds and clean. Special mention to Paula who helped me with all my questions and to navigate around La Fortuna!

Great hostel in La Fortuna

Pros: The hostel is relatively new, so the beds are still very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The privacy curtains are also a big plus. The staff was also very sympathetic, Orne handled my check in and explained the hostel and all the possible activities very well. Another volunteer, Paula, organised a Trivia Night which was also really fun! The outside area was also very comfortable and nice!

Cons: It would be nice to have lockers in the room or at least more lockers outside. Maybe empty the toilet trash bins more than once a day.

Beautiful hostel with a view and cosy outdoor area

Pros: Great Location, 8min walk to the center, atm, bakery and mini market all less than a minute away. Really Beautiful outdoor space, all very clean and i loved that the bed was placed at a window with a view to the vulkano. Comfy beds, all clean and really friendly nice staff, helpful and creating a relaxed Atmosphäre in total. Thanks for a nice stay, it was a great base to explore la fortuna from here.

Really nice hostel in La Fortuna, with good facilities and 24/7 tea

Pros: Really nice staff, particularly Fornal who made us breakfast and also a sandwich on the day we left as we were heading off a bit early. Optional yoga for guests Tea and coffee making facilities Clean bathrooms

Cons: The WiFi was a bit hit and miss, especially away from the common areas.

Pros: staff were all very helpful in booking tours and running events, kitchen was super big and rooms were nice

Pros: Really food hostel, nice and clean, large kitchen.

Cons: Some outlets didnt work, but that could be due to my Charger

Pros: Great location, everything is brand new and clean. Fully equipped kitchen which is great. The dorm had AC at night and curtains. The staff are very welcoming and helpful - thank you Ronald, Aron and Marimar!
