It was excellent.

Pros: The location was in a good location. The hostel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay there again and again.

Cons: I met the manager once to pay when I checked in because I wasn't able to pay online. Other than that one time I only saw the cleaning staff. It would be nice to have ongoing staff (at least one person) available.

Great place

Pros: My third stay here which says a lot I think - and they've added hooks to the bedroom! 😀

Pros: The location is good, it’s okay for one night and good value for money

Cons: It was very noisy at night, we didn’t meet anybody else so don’t except a social hostel

A quick stay

Pros: My second stay - a night on my way through to the coast. Again a great place to stay. It felt nice to be coming back to somewhere that I'd been before / knew the area etc.

Cons: Still missed hooks in shower / room / toilets for clothes / towels

I stayed multiple times - and would again

Pros: I liked that everything was digital with regard to check in / entering etc although I know this is not for everyone. It's in a nice / safe area of San Jose. There's a supermarket a short walk away as well as great Taco place. There were plenty of toilets / showers, showers were powerful as well as having hot water. A hairdryer in the bathrooms was great too. The free laundry to use was a superb bonus.

Cons: There's no hooks / shelves - anywhere! These are simple things which would improve the dorm rooms / toilets and showers so much (somewhere to hang a wet towel / clothes etc) Theres a lack of storage in the room which others have stated not a problem when I stayed as it was only half full in the dorm room.

Pros: Second time in this place! Super clean and comfortable! Couldn't be better! Value for money amazing! Very safe.

Pros: I didn’t like the far Spanish lady front next door, (I believe she works at the beauty salon next to the hostel and the hostel itself advertise her to their guests) she sounded Spaniard to me, I lived in Spain for over a year while doing an internship that’s why I think her accent was Spaniards. Anyway! She was super rude and I said hi more than once and she just didn’t answer back. I thought it was rude but I just did it out of respect anyway . I thought she was too rough to my taste. But then one night there were some of her friends visiting and using the facilities of the hostel to get ready and they were all very noisy and rude and peeing and pooping with open doors I have never seen such thing in my life and I know it’s a female hostel but still. I don’t want to see no body peeing or pooping in front of me.

Cons: Before I came to Pandora I spent two nights at a hotel called maragato or something like that. my first two nights in CR after three years living in Seoul. Don’t go there, it was hell. Worst experience ever. As soon as I arrived to Pandora I felt safe and I was able to repair my sleep. (Spaniard lady was out early, I think because I didn’t see her. Thanks God. I love barrio escalante, the quietness , restaurants near by, (I recommend aguizotes), coffee shops etc and how close it’s to the center, supermarkets (automercado) a soda (soda yoguis), mall San Pedro (beauty shops, fast foods, cinema, atm etc .

Pros: I highly recommend this hostel! I stayed here three different times for a night, and every time it felt so welcoming – just like home. Everything is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot, and there’s even a TV with Disney+/Netflix/Prime… just perfect! The place is designed with so many thoughtful details: a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryers, shower products, extra blankets if needed… you really feel that everything has been thought of for the guests’ comfort. The staff has been incredibly kind and helpful – they even let me leave some of my belongings a couple of times, always with such friendliness and quick responses. The automated check-in system makes everything super easy as well. For me, it’s the perfect place to stay for a night or two before exploring the rest of Costa Rica. A huge thank you to the whole team 🌸

Cons: “The only small downside I could mention is that the windows are not double-glazed, and the road next to the property can be noisy at night.

Pros: Stayed twice in this hostel. Definately recommend for girls. It's safe, tidy, well equipped, you have everything you need. Also staff is very nice and helpful. There's self check in in hostel but but they are always in touch when you need help or any info.
