Lovely hotel that feels like it's right in the middle of the rainforest.
Pros: The room and bed were large and comfortable. Loved having a shower that was open to the outside. Staff were extremely helpful and informative. Great to have a bird feeding station just outside the seating/eating area. Location is out of town (but only 10 minutes) so no traffic noise which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent and set you up for a day of tours or activities. Also lovely to have a hot tub on the balcony to wind down and relax at the end of a busy day. Finding tree frogs on a short night walk with the hotel staff was a bonus.
Cons: Although the rooms are lovely inside, the roofs are made of tin or metal so when it rains it can be very noisy in the room. The seating/eating area is open (no windows) so if it's cold you need to wrap up to stay warm. Unfortunately it was unusually wet and cold when we were there so it was a bit of an issue but didn't spoil our overall enjoyment.

Top class hotel in rainforest but would benefit from drying facilities
Pros: Modern and clean with fabulous bedroom, hot tub and free frog night tour Restaurant and food lovely albeit high end price Staff friendly and helpful
Cons: There was nowhere to hang wet clothes (plenty of rain in a rainforest!) such as hooks. The room could have done with a heated towel rail as with the high humidity there was no way a towel would dry making it less eco friendly and no chance of drying any clothes or footwear. We were there for a special wedding anniversary and made a point when booking and at check in, but nothing was subsequently mentioned during the 3 nights we stayed, even though we had specifically booked a celebration dinner in the hotel restaurant. That was disappointing

Beautiful location, but not so peaceful due to children
Pros: Amazing oasis in the rainforest, with a beautiful pool and so many birds making the hotel their home. Absolutely loved this stay and the chance to relax in the nature
Cons: Even if this hotel is very oriented to quiet moments and relaxation in nature, the pool was often used as a splash pool by a very loud family with children, making it impossible for everyone else to relax. I think this hotel should consider adopting an adults only policy.

Pros: Beautiful paradise and surrounded by nature. Staff very friendly. Facilities are very clean. Food amazing. Complimentary breakfast. Complimentary night walk.
Cons: Room is smaller than normal. We paid to a birding lodge. Lovely terrace but room small. With 4 big suitcases as we travelling.

Pros: Such a beautiful hotel. The bungalows are all secluded so you feel quite immersed in nature which is such a wonderful experience. Loved the surrounding jungle. The pool area was nice, clean and spacious with 2 jacuzzis. The staff were all amazing: very friendly and accommodating - they all really looked after us. The breakfast was great - you can choose an option from the menu and then there’s a small buffet as well and you can sit and watch birds while you eat. The food in general was delicious - a bit on the pricier side but we felt it was worth it. Overall, it was a really great stay and we were really sad to leave. Wish we’d stayed longer. We headed here towards the start of our vacation and that was probably a mistake as nothing else will live up to Tifakara!
