Stunning lakeside setting with exceptional staff

Pros: • Beautiful Property: The grounds are breathtaking, filled with trees, wildlife, and charming ducks on the lake. • Excellent Service: The staff was incredibly friendly, taking the time to explain everything and helping us book all our activities. • Breakfast: A delicious and varied start to the day. • Nearby Attractions: Conveniently located near the El Tigre waterfall.

Cons: • Logistics: The lodge is a bit remote and far from Santa Elena. Taxis are expensive, so I recommend staying here only if you have your own transport. Additionally, the breakfast although delicious, can take some time and you might be late for early tours in the natural reserves. • Dining: There is no on-site restaurant, so ordering food delivery is necessary and comes with an extra surcharge. • Bedding: Similar to our other stays, the pillows were a bit too large and firm.

Pros: The view of the hotel is gorgeous with the lake and the ducks , was very pastoral and beautiful. the room was big and comfortable , and the staff was very nice

Cons: It’s a bit far from Santa Elena so you need a car to go to the city and if for example you want to eat something at the evening the closest restaurant nearby is 15-20 min drive in a dark mountain road

Excellent alternative to the other places in busy Monteverde

Pros: Absolutely excellent and a fantastic alternative to the mediocre hotels in busy Monteverde. Yes, this place is remote and a 20 to 30 minute drive, but for this you will find yourself in a very peaceful and quiet mountain environment with a private forest. An excellent and freshly prepared breakfast is included, the staff will help you with whatever needs your help. They recommended us a very good restaurant only 15 minutes drive away, that also offers delivery service. Also, you should know that this hotel is close to El Tigre waterfall and 100% Aventura zip line and hanging bridge park. It is also not far from Santa Elena national Park, which we found to be the better option compared to Monteverde national Park. We escaped here from shabby Socialtel, which is a very typical Monteverde experience: high prices with questionable service level. This hotel here is a very good alternative to that.

Nice 3* hotel though roads to town difficult

Pros: Nice clean room, good lounge facilities from 6.30am to 9pm, parking was fine and easy, lovely staff who were very helpful. Breakfast was good

Cons: the walls between the rooms conducted noise and we had a very noisy family with chilldren one night. It is true that the property was 8.9km from Saint Elena town, but the roads are challenging with multiple pot holes and slippy when wet - 25min to reach the town best - 40 min when behind a bus, and night with poor lighting and fog, an interesting drive

Pros: Awesome landscape and View! Clean and new. Valuable for money

Pros: Beautiful grounds in the clouds. Reception and the night security guard was the best, friendly and helpful.

Cons: It’s not advisable to drive at night and it gets dark at 5.30pm so you need to eat early and then be back at the hotel with little to do, however the hotel can order food delivery for you.

Pros: Beautiful place. Convenient rooms with beautiful view to the lake. Delicious breakfast. The free tea/coffee and banana bread in the evening is great.

Cons: The road to the hotel is bumpy anfld takes 15-20 minutes from Monteverde.

Good place to enjoy nature

Pros: The place is fantastic, surrounded by nature and a nice lake. It is relaxing and very close to some adventure parks which makes it a very nice spot. Nice breakfast and staff is nice and Informative. Overall would recommend

Cons: Ok, before I go into the things to improve let me get something out of the way. I saw a couple of comments saying the road is dangerous. Nothing further away from the truth. To fall into a cliff you would need to drive into it purposely, and even then you would have a hard time doing it. Now, the internet is veeeery slow. This is expected given it is a remote location, so not really a bad thing, but just be prepared. Because it is a remote place, driving to get some dinner/lunch is 20min ish away, which again, it is expected since this is a remote place and it is aimed to people who want to disconnect, so just be ready.

Pros: The location of the hotel within the amazing nature and landscape of Costa Rica. The view from the room window. The room is large and spacious. A coffee and snack station is available all hours of the day in the lobby

Cons: There is no refrigerator and air conditioner/fan in the room.
