A very functional choice and a warm welcome for my first night in Costa Rica

Pros: Shuttle driver waited for me at the airport despite it taking forever for my bags to come through. Check-in was very straight forward and the staff member who greeted me was lovely. My partner arrived overnight and her check-in was also very straight forward. Free parking and breakfast was decent too!

Cons: The location is definitely on the functional side as opposed to scenic, being right next to a major road.

Lovely hotel close to central San Jose. Great pool area, rooms clean and tidy.

Lovely hotel with pleasant room and amazing pool area.

Pros: Breakfast was very nice in a pleasant restaurant near the pool. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The pool area was lovely.

Cons: The pool was not open until 8 a.m. although it was light from 5 a.m. This was very disappointing. The location was not so good for getting around San Jose but was ideal for an overnight stay to relax before a flight home.

Super comfortable stay

Pros: My favourite hotel in San José and I've been to quit a few. The pool, the room, the bed, the staff, extras like an icecube machine on the floor. Good accesible with uber/taxi. The delicious pineapple and papaya with breakfast

Cons: Would be nice to maybe have someting like pancakes for breakfast too. and of course would be nice if it would be cheaper,:) but it's worth the money!

A quiet oasis which is fine as a start or end to your Costa Rica trip.

Pros: Half way between airport and city centre. Pool was cool and a perfect length for laps. Quiet oasis between the airport and the city centre.

Cons: Distance from anything useful to tourists.

A great stay in San Jose

Pros: Perfect location and facilities, including a very nice gift shop. The support for the workshop we organised was excellent

Cons: No big issues in this hotel

My stay was perfect and I liked it very much in terms of comfort, service and money.

Pros: I liked the room, the view to the pool and the service as well. Everything went out smoothly and efficient.

Cons: The restaurant was a little filthy in the morning due to the fact that pther guests had eaten before us. Even though the tables were clean, the floor was filthy at some spots with food residue.

Good option in San Jose if you are here for an event in the Convention Centre

Pros: Comfortable beds, nice outdoor pool, shop with coffee and chocolate on spot (prices approximately the same as in duty-free), genuinely cheerful staff Conveniently located 10 minutes drive from the Convention Centre and around the same driving time to the city centre

Cons: Unless you book a room with a balcony, windows can't be open at all, which was quite annoying to me Generally, hotels in Costa Rica seem to be somewhat below the standard: 4 stars in Costa Rica is like 2 stars in Poland, let's say, and the cleaning standard could be better too Though rooms are normally spacious, and for some reason, double rooms feature two rather big double beds Rooms have a coffee making machine but unfortunately, no electric kettle/tea making facility which was somewhat strange
