Pros: Very unique place to stay and everything has been arranged for your comfort, very kids friendly staff, very good food!

Luxury stay in Arenal Vulcano

Pros: Beautiful property with very well appointed bedrooms (safari style luxury tents). The views of the vulcano are spectacular

Cons: Only the Nayara tented camp restaurant is worthwhile . The other restaurants in the sister properties are not good enough. The gym needs improvement.

Pros: Amazing rooms, very spacious with different little corners. Great natural hot pool with great view. Staff is amazing as well, very nice and helpful. Great facilities with beautiful pools and choice of restaurants

Cons: The bed/pillows were not comfortable. We tried 2 restaurants, would recommend the Mediterranean one but the Italian one was disappointing and not good value for money at all

A truly stunning and unique hotel in the heart of the rainforest

Pros: Everything. If you stay here it will honestly be one of the most exceptional hotels you will ever experience. Mainly because of the views of the volcano (which are unrivalled) and also the stunning grounds on which the property is set, which make you feel as if you staying in the heart of the rainforest. However this doesn’t come at the expense of luxury. The room had every amenity you could ask for and the staff were incredibly attentive, always on hand to take us to and from the different restaurants and pools on the Nayara complex. One staff member even helped us find a sloth on the last day of our holiday which was the best ending we could have hoped for! One other great thing about the property is that it is connected to two other hotels - Nayara Springs and Gardens - where all amenities can be used interchangeably. This gives you access to several pools (including adult only pools with swim up bars), multiple restaurants, a gym and natural thermal hot springs.

Cons: Nothing! But one tip: make sure you keep your doors shut at night to avoid any creep crawlies entering your room.

Amazing place, but with few shortages

Pros: Amazing area, carefully designed, with a lot of things to do. The tents are amazing and luxurious. The staff is the best.

Cons: The photos on Booking.com are very old. There are no views like that anymore, as the plants are growing fast. The water in the main pool is amazing, but the water in the tent pool is boiling hot. BOILING. No way to use it. No chance to cool it down.

Pros: It was the last accommodation during our 2 week holiday and by all means was the nicest place we ever stayed in.

Cons: I was a little disappointed about the welcome. I spoke to the team prior and specified there we will be 3 of us and 2 have or will be celebrating their birthdays. I also did the check in for a smooth check in on the arrival. But when we arrived, only 2 of us were greeted and third person was left behind. They also asked us to fill the documents even though we did that prior to the arrival. I think pre-arrival alignment on guests would have been appreciated in such hotel. The wine bar was also a disappointment. Not only because the wine was not good but also that you charge ridiculous amount of money for a sip!! This is what you normally get in a good restaurant to see if you like the wine before you take a bottle. I felt that was a little outrageous concept.
