Arenal Paraiso Resort Spa & Thermo Mineral Hot Springs

A resort with great facilities close to Arenal but the rooms in particular are in need of a refresh.

Pros: Great location close to Arenal. The facilities (hot pools, bar etc) were good.

Cons: The rooms (and the place in general) is in need of a refresh. The breakfast was just OK

Lovely stay, great facilities

Pros: The view of the volcano from the resort was incredible. The grounds were lovely. The hot springs were really nice to enjoy along with the swim up bar which was warm. Food from the restaurant was good and the breakfast each morning had good variety and changed slightly each day. The room were spacious, clean and well maintained. Loved watching all the humming birds in the bush infront of our porch. Family of 5 split between 2 rooms, was fine. We would stay here again. Not much in walking distance but we had our own transport so this did not affect us and was what we planned

Amazing place

Pros: This place is amazing. The room we had was very large with a lovely patio with rocking chairs looking at the volcano. The hot springs are great, many pools with different water temperatures. They are open until 22 so you can enjoy them until late. We spotted a lot of wildlife in the amazing gardens. We tried the pool restaurant and the food was very good, the waiters there were amazing! The breakfast has a lot of options including someone preparing eggs/ omelette on the spot for you. We also did the horseback ride with them, we really enjoyed it, shout out to the shuttle driver, he was a lovely man that took extreme care of us until we left with the horses.

Good value for money. I would probably go back despite some of the drawbacks.

Pros: Rooms with view on the volcano are incredible. The breakfast is excellent and the hot springs are a blessing at the end of a tough touristic day. I loved the convenience of parking the car just outside the villa.

Cons: It is a resort style hotel with the good and the bad of resorts. Little soul and service may be a bit deficient sometimes.

Pros: Absolutely everything! All facilities kept in excellent conditions, gardens were lush, staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, termal pools were AWESOME, very nice breakfast too. We loads of birds within the hotel, iguanas, lizards,

Cons: Can't think of anything!

Pros: The hot springs were a great addition, the break fast options were good and the staff in the bar or restaurants are quite helpful

Cons: the beds were not in the best of condition, one of the rooms we were given has mold and the other room had a problem with the shower where the knob can rotate 360 deg. The pressure in the shower is at will and it was not a good experience

Beautiful hotel with excellent thermal baths

Pros: The thermal pools are incredible, with varying temperatures and a beautiful scenery, and are not as packed with tourists as other thermals in the area. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with local food and fresh fruit.

Cons: The hotel is a little far from the centre of la Fortuna, you need a car to move around.

Pros: Amazing resort with a great view and delicious breakfast and dinner. Kids love to explore surroundings and thermal pools. We'll come back.

Cons: Everything was excellent.
