A treat to stay somewhere worthy of this kind of holiday.

Pros: Very well organised. Staff incredibly helpful and polite without being overbearing. The buildings and grounds were immaculate. Being able to park right outside room was a bonus.

Cons: The food could have been tastier and although the breakfast looked plentiful it wasn’t the best we’ve had.

Great hotel, superb base for exploring La Fortuna. Bars and restaurants a little pricey.

Pros: The pools are excellent. Very clean, the hot springs in particular are lovely. Breakfast was superb every day, and the gym is a very welcome addition to the hotel. The kids enjoyed playing football on the grass as well.

Cons: We found the food and drinks in the restaurants to be very expensive relative to the area generally. With that in mind, we ate out in La Fortuna on all but one of the nights.

A Magical Jungle Retreat – One of My Top 3 Resorts in the World!

Pros: We had the most amazing time in Costa Rica, and it was the highlight of our trip—and one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had globally. Nestled deep in the lush jungle at the base of a volcano, this resort offers a truly unforgettable experience. The setting alone is breathtaking, with nature all around, sounds of the forest, and views that make you stop and soak it all in. If we had known just how incredible this place would be, we absolutely would have planned to stay longer. The staff were exceptional—warm, caring, always smiling. We felt genuinely welcomed and pampered in a very natural, unpretentious way. It felt like we were truly special guests. There is so much to do in this region—from waterfall hikes to hot springs and wildlife watching. It's the perfect place to connect with nature and unwind in luxury. Honestly, this stay reminded me of the tranquility and beauty I’ve experienced in Andaz Bali and Thailand.

Great place to stay and unwind, food price strategy needs to be revisited

Pros: Staff were excellent, service was amazing, facilities and springs were outstanding, breakfast was fantastic!

Cons: Jacuzzi did not work, morning yoga was full and we were turned away, food prices were very expensive so went to external places for lunch and dinner.
