Great Views and Nice Breakfast in La Fortuna

Pros: Hotel Lavas Tacotal was a very nice place to stay in La Fortuna. Breakfast had good options and great fresh fruits. The outside areas were very green and well maintained, and the pool was clean. The view is very special, even with cloudy weather. Our room was clean, though some details could be better maintained, especially in the bathroom. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Cons: The rooms were not soundproof.

Cons: Its quite far from the town if u dont have a car we needed atm and it cost 12 dollars there and back in uber

Brilliant location

Pros: Location is beautiful, short drive from La fortuna but with a great view of the volcano. The staff, in particular the lady at reception with glasses and curly hair was super nice (I forgot her name!)

Cons: The people, the location and the room was lovely

Prefect place to stay in La Fortuna

Pros: Very nice place, everything was very clean, stuff was very kind and helpful, would stay here again

Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic and every day was the same but still good enough

Pros: The room was amazing, very clean, good-sized and comfortable, and quiet place. The view to Arenal was great.

Cons: The breakfast was very tasty, but very small.

Pros: Exterior of the hotel was amazing. Room was spacious and nice. Food was okay but I guess our standards are different coming from Europe. Overall I would recommend this hotel as the location and view of volcano is amazing.

Beautiful view of the Volcanic and nice amenities. My whole family lived our stay!

Pros: Beautiful view of the volcano and breakfast was amazing!!

Cons: Only complaint was that the floor outside our room was so slippery when it rained and I took a hard fall. Maybe a rug or something to help with that would be good to add?

Peaceful, chilled, comfortable and scenic place to stay.

Pros: So happy with hotel choice. Was concerned we were a little too far out of town as we didn't have car and no bus service but ubers were easy to get. When we saw busy town we were so glad we had such a lovely, peaceful location and closer to national park entrance. Hotel has bungalow-style rooms and two small 2-story buildings with balconies, all integrated into lovely gardens and with 2 small swimming pools (one designed for families with small children). Great unimpeded views of volcano. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere, with nearby massage/spa service if wanted.

Cons: Only possible criticism was lack of any tour/activity information in reception.
