Paradise Hot Springs - Thermal Water & Volcano Views

Pros: Breakfast amazing Very friendly staff Pools were nice

Luxurious thermal pool resort.

Pros: We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. We had booked a deluxe double. These are ground level and looked as though they'd be quite dark. The rooms were good quality from what we saw. Breakfast was fantastic with a large selection. The restaurant staff was terrific, the offerings for lunch and dinner were pretty standard. There are better and more interesting dining options in town. The pools are great and why people come here.

Cons: The gym was pretty hard to use as there was an air conditioner which was on, but the windows were all open making the room really too hot for a workout of any length. All the rooms face the pools, so the noise is inevitable as lots of kids are there as are younger adults enjoying the poolside cocktails. There is a pool for guests only on the upper level, it's quiet, but not a very hot pool, so would be best on a warm day for cooling off.

Dreamy relaxation at this lovely hot springs resort

Pros: Girgeous grounds with fantastic hot pools, really private, immersed in tropical vegetation and so relaxing. Excellent and varied breakfasts all 3 mornings! Well appointed rooms, quite modern and chic. We loved this place. A pleasure walking along tge rainforest jungly paths to our room. And the upstsirs bar with view of Arenal very special. We did not use spa but I bet it is wonderful!

Cons: Would have been a little better for us had it been closer to La Fortuna but all the Hot Springs resorts were on this same strip, and it is only a 6 or 7 minute Uber ride ( only around $6) to town so not really a big deal. A great choice overall!

A 10 year old's dream

Pros: The hotel is lovely, very lush with planting, and well cared for grounds. We were amazed to see the pools emptied and cleaned daily. The hot spring pools are the star attraction (as they should be), and my 10 year old spent every moment he could in them. They didn't get too busy whilst we were there. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The housekeeping staff work very hard. We particularly liked the volcano viewpoint cafe and swimming pool. The snacks and drinks were very good up there. The breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Get your waffle or omlette order in 1st...as there is one lovely man making them and it can take a little while. The dinner menu wasn't to my taste but we managed to find things to eat. All in all, a hotel with amazing pools and grounds. My sons pick for the trip and it was exactly what he wanted 😁

Hot springs were amazing after a long day hiking the volcano, rainforest & the beautiful waterfalls.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Service excellent. Staff excellent.

An experience we will never forget

Pros: We loved the feeling of being in the wilderness , surrounded by hot springs and so many different area to enjoy all the views .

Pros: The room was specious and clean. Perfect shower. It’s very good there was a dehumidifier, because in other hotels sometimes the humidity was too high. Hot springs pools were excellent. We also had a dinner at the hotel restaurant. Everything was tasty. And seviche we liked the most.

Cons: The mattress was too soft, not very comfortable. Also, would be good to have some fresh vegetables on the breakfast. But as I understood in Costa Rica this is an issue in every hotel.

Great stay overall.

Pros: Great facilities, nice location overlooking the volcano, friendly staff

Cons: Should provide at least bath robes for the pools, treatments and walking around the facilities instead of basic towels.

Paradise

Pros: Beautiful, small, uber clean, not crowded in off-season, nice staff.

Cons: No smoking on property had to walk a long way out to the road.

Very nice hotel and resort in la Fortuna

Pros: A great resort experience. Very luxurious and beautiful in the whole place. We experienced nice, friendly and professional service. Dinner and breakfast was great. Again great service personal. The room was big, beautiful and perfectly clean.

Cons: We had a misunderstanding about pool / hot springs opening times and the reception handled it very good. We were easily allowed to stay a bit longer on the pool area. Thank you for that.
