We enjoyed our stay

Pros: Beautiful gardens, rooms were comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Great for couples

Pros: Breakfast (paid separately) was really good, we liked the coffee area, pool, views. It’s a bit outside of the main town, but it was actually good for us as it was calmer and there was a cheap great restaurant just nearby

Family stay at Roca Negra

Pros: It was a nice quaint family business, Lots of wildlife and animals, great for kids. Close to town.

Cons: Pancakes were great, but other breakfasts could use a little more for the cost.

Pros: The hotel has an excellent location with a great view of the volcano. The garden is beautifully designed, and you can spot many birds, including hummingbirds.

Cons: There were only a few power outlets available, and the outdoor seating area was not well lit.

Pros: Personnel was very friendly. Also the accommodation was beautiful with a wonderful patio with a view on the Vulcano. Rooms are clean and modern!

A beautiful, comfortable property with great amenities and lovely natural surroundings

Pros: Fantastic comfortable room with a personal garden space, hammock, porch and rocking chairs where hummingbirds regularly visit. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Lovely breakfast, and great views. Having space to chop fruit and unlimited tea and coffee was a really nice bonus.

Cons: It's a bit out of town and there's not much pavement for walking, so if you don't have a car you might want to consider this. Having said that, it's easy to call Ubers and there's a great souvenir shop next door and a soda 30 yards away.

Great short stay for exceptional volcano view.

Pros: Beautiful room with high ceiling, big bed and large bathroom. Wonderful view on the volcano from the room. Good location. Good parking spot. Good breakfast

Cons: The fake green grass everywhere in the common parts. Breakfast could be a bit bigger.

Excellent value place to stay in Fortuna

Pros: Super place to stay in Fortuna. Wonderful bungalows set in beautiful gardens with lots of birds around. Nice breakfast. Clean. Recommended

Cons: It was a little cooler weather during our stay. An additional heavier blanket for the bedding would be good but that’s my personal ask. Place is still great.
