Hotel La Pradera del Arenal

A comfortable and relaxing stay with great views and convenient access to a wide range of outdoor activities.

Pros: The staff stood out for their friendliness and helpfulness, especially in the bar area. Facilities were great, with the pool and hot tubs being much appreciated after a day out. The view to the volcano from our cabaña was always spectacular, even if there was always some cloud at the summit. The wildlife, especially the birds, that we saw and heard every day was a joy. The cabaña itself was spacious and comfortable.

Pros: The food and beverage staff were exceptional. Kendall and his wife Jackie were amazing and such lovely people. Kendall was a wonderful chef and made delicious meals. Sadie made killer omelets and kindly showed us how to make tortillas. It is something I will always remember. Your restaurant staff are so friendly and compassionate and so eager to please us. I have found that these are qualities most Costa Ricans have.

Good location , secure complex with top view to volcano

Pros: Beatiful and cosy bungalows , security guards checking the area all day long, high level of security (!), well maintained and beautiful garden , top view to the volcano and parking in front of the bungalow

Cons: Breakfast was not good, hotel complex gave us the impression of a mass tourism factory

Pros: Good breakfast. Great cook and wait staff. Beautiful views and pools. Nice restaurants just down the street.

Pros: The location, the staff and the breakfast were good!

Pros: Breakfast was very nice and the grounds were well kept. The restaurant and pool area was attached to a very large souvenir shop, which has a good and bad side. Location was close enough to everything but removed enough to be quite.

Cons: We didn’t end up using the pool. Mostly due to weather.

Amazing Volcano view

Pros: The location was amazing, the view of the volcano was spectacular. The restaurant staff were very friendly and good. The morning breakfast was good. My sister was I heaven at the souvenir shop. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was lovely.

Cons: The road is very busy, and the trucks are always using their air breaks, which is very loud .

Good located for everything you want to do around Fortuna

Pros: The room was perfect. With two beds. But first at all they wanted to give us a room just with one bed and to the road / parcing side. We finally had one further away which was quiet and comfortable. The pool is just accessible via the restaurant which is a bit strange but in the evening it was no issue. At the entrance there is first a huge souvenir and tours shop, but this does not disturb the quiet rooms in the back of it. The breakfast was okay.

Pros: The room is large, beds are comfortable and a large bathroom. Nice sitting area outside the room. There are two Jacuzzi pools and a swimming pool. The breakfast is excellent and is near the pool area. Excellent view of Arenal Volcano.
