Hotel Belmar

I would recommend this hotel.

Pros: Free initial round of the mini bar was nice. Great location and lovely staff. Nice well planned room.

Cons: The dining experience was not 100%. Only small details,

Fabulous stay in a wonderful hotel with friendly staff

Pros: The location was fantastic, close to the Monteverde reserve, walking distance to some lovely restaurants although some were a little further. Breakfast was delicious, loads of choice and a selection of sides/fruit/hot drinks etc included. Lovely view over the lake and towards the sea from the restaurant. We had dinner here once and it was very good quality. Also highly recommend Tramonti pizzeria nearby for food and views.

Pros: Amazing view, hotel and food. Great yoga and activities proposed at the hotel. Amazing food and brewer experience overall, very nice staff and great views all around! Nice pound and terrasse.

Cons: Treetopia and other activites very expensive.

An excellent base for a stay in Monteverde

Pros: The size of the rooms, the view from the terrace, the beautiful gardens and the helpful friendly staff.

Lovely hotel

Pros: Lovely hotel, good room, great balcony. Free yoga class, nice grounds. Restaurant was very good.

Cons: 2 out for 3 breakfasts there was no avo toast available! Was a little way from town would need to drive to other restaurants, luckily hotel restaurant was good

Pros: The rooms were beautifully finished and very comfortable. It was amazing waking up there every day with special views from the breakfast terrace. The food was really good from their own garden and we enjoyed spending time at the brewery after long walks exploring too.

Cons: we loved our room with great views and open to the large bathroom however there were not curtains on the bathroom so we woke up very early when jet lagged. That was our only complaint. It was very comfortable hotel otherwise.

Very nice

Pros: Professional staff and great view from our balcony. Flexible to meet costumer requirements.

Cons: Few easy things to make the stay even more comfortable. Fresh fruit and water in the jacuzzi area. More reasonable prices for breakfast and in general for any other additional offerings.

Pros: Loved Hotel Belmar!! Communication was superb from the very first moment of booking. We were beautifully taken care of throughout by Noelle. We stayed in the Forest rooms; great views, gorgeous beds, linen, bath products! The food was lovely. The whole ambience is just wonderful with magnificent views throughout, a free yoga session and a brilliant juice bar. We completed the Finca experience which we did through the hotel, as a Christmas Day activity. Highly recommend if you are a little petrified of climbing up inside a tree and ziplining. A great beginner pick! For a Christmas stay this hotel could not have been better for our family. Highly recommend!!

Pros: The stay at Hotel Belmar was really something special. I stayed twice at this place during our road trip through Costa Rica. The pure nature of Monteverde, the architecture of the hotel, and also the atmosphere of the hotel make this really a special place and we had no other place in Costa Rica where we felt like at home as we did here. I did a tour to the Madre Tierra farm with my daughter and a horseback ride. It was such a beautiful experience we will never forget. The breakfast and dinner was perfect and the restaurant is so beautiful with a remarkable view over the cloud forest. We will really miss this place as it sparked magic and means something to us.

Pros: This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The hotel and surrounding grounds were stunning. The room was a perfect, with a fantastic view. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. The restaurant was fantastic. We did not want to leave!
