Outstanding views

Pros: The location is fantastic, not far from Santa Elena and various amenities but also quiet and with beautiful views. The walking trails and lookout points are brilliant and not to be missed, well maintained and signposted too. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was clean and with a very comfortable bed.

Cons: The restaurant would benefit from some shelter / heaters for chilly nights and mornings. Our food went cold quite quickly as it is open to the elements and during our stay it was fresh and windy.

Great place and well worth a 2 day stay or longer!!

Pros: The location was awesome with a beautiful view of the mountains. the restaurant area was terrific an d the food was outstanding. The night was most enjoyable and learned a number of interesting facts. The environment focus was a highlight. We did the 12 station that were set up learning what each station had to offer. Overall an outstanding stay!! Thank you.

Cons: Everything was great. We didn't like that we only had two day at your site.

Sunsets, waterfalls, nature, pizza - this place has it all.

Pros: Amazing view to watch the sunset from the bar/ restaurant. Loved the walks through the forest. Amazing breakfast Pizzas in the evening

Perfect balance of nature and comfort

Pros: Beautiful nature setting close to town. Comfortable, well-heated room, excellent farm-to-table restaurant, on-site trails and a great guided night walk. Ideal for solo travelers, couples, and families

Cons: Walk to town is possible but quite hilly; taxi recommended.

Pros: Room was clean and comfortable, restaurant had great views and delicious food. Their own trails were amazing and gave many good view spots as well as a relaxing hammock garden. Highly recommend this hotel.

Worth every penny!

Pros: Amazing. Exceeded our expectations. We came with our 6yr, 4yr and 10month old and we didn’t have a reason to leave the property for 3 days! The kids loved everything. The property has a lot of trails that are fun for both young and old to hike and spot animals and enjoy the view points. The food was amazing. All home grown or locally sourced in Monteverde. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I’ve been disappointed with 5 star hotels. This place outperforms in terms of service and hospitality.

Cons: Nothing. Loved everything moment we spent here

Pros: Great building design with lovely rooms, eating spaces, view points and a nature reserve. Fantastic to wake up to lots of wildlife activity in the tree tops right outside our room. Spacious rooms with fridge, shampoo and conditioner and very nice fixtures. Meals were excellent and staff knowledgeable and attentive. My partner’s favourite accommodation of the trip, and very high on my list too.

Cons: If you don’t have a car, shuttles, taxis or Ubers are helpful to get around, including to Monteverde Nature Reserve - we took a private taxi organised by the receptionist initially, but then found cheaper alternatives. Some of the food growing areas seemed unused, but there were other areas we didn’t see that may have been more in use and we just encountered areas being rested.

Pros: Great location. So well organised. So much to see and do. Amazing amazing food.
