Hotel Casa Roland San Jose

A lovely, quirky hotel

Pros: The beautiful building and the friendly, helpful staff.

Pros: It is a very special place with lot‘s of beautiful furniture and decorations.

Cons: I wish the person at the reception could have spoken a little bit of English, that would have made checking in a lot faster and easier.

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, rooms were clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of choice.

Pros: We stayed briefly at this hotel after landing in San Jose. Conveniently located close to the airport. Cars are parked in a locked and secure parking lot if you have a rental car. The hotel has a vintage and artsy vibe. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our first introduction to a traditional Costa Rican full meal! A good stay for families. There's many steps to get to most rooms and no elevator. Sharing in case accessibility is a consideration.

Pros: Great size room. Traditional hotel. Fabulous breakfast.

Lovely little hotel in the suburbs.

Pros: Welcoming kind and efficient staff, huge room with lovely bedding and very comfortable bed nice breakfast and cleanliness. Really enjoyed my stay.

Unique Gem

Pros: The unique quirky layout and the architectural design.

Pros: Only stayed for 1 night, before catching a flight. All staff were very welcoming and provided boiling water for drinks. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

Cons: On the evening we went to get food, but road to high street is very poorly lit, making it feel unsafe.

Great little stay for one night. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Great little stopover in San Jose for our onward trip. Excellent value for money and the breakfast was delicious. We were in a hurry for our onward trip and the kitchen staff made our breakfast so quickly to accommodate us.
