Decent Home away from home

Pros: Top location , right in the center of San Jose, on the main pedetrician street. Nice panoramic city view of the capital from balcony ( you can see the mountain even from 4th floor ). Pros: Fantastic location. Couldn't be closer to a range of sightseeing locations, a free walking tour, a place to buy SIM card. Staff were friendly,helpful and fast. Our shower was broken,so they said to use the room next door. Excellent shower pressure and hot water. Accom was basic, but clean and felt safe. Decent room size.

Cons: Shower was broken - no big deal as I used the shower in the room next door. They no longer help with booking activities like their listing says. This was a big part of why I had booked with them.

Pros: The location is fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: I can't say there was anything I didn't like ..the location form the price was ideal and the staff were excellent. There was a coffee machine in my room but I always think it's nice to have a kettle and a few complimentary coffee/creamer / sugar sachets

Really central and good value place to stay.

Pros: Very well located. Right in the city centre. Good typical breakfast. Cooked fresh. Dorm had individual reading lights for the bunks but not all the individual power sockets worked. Each dorm had a well equipped ensuite with hot water Free filtered drinking water. Everything was quite clean.

Cons: It's only a small nitpick. I had to take an early bus one day and left the hostel at 5am. I asked if a small breakfast or even some slices of bread and jam could be made up for me to take away since I would miss the regular breakfast hours of 7-10. This request could not be facilitated. Also, there doesn't appear to be a self service kitchenette.
