Costa Rica Guesthouse

Pros: The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the city center, which makes it very convenient to explore the area on foot. Our double room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was well designed and functional. Just across the road, there is a hostel with a lovely garden, a bar, and a shared kitchen area, which creates a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. We felt well taken care of during our stay and would happily return.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. They had some information about Costa Rica. The reception open for 24 hrs. The gate was locked and personal let you in so we felt safe.

Cons: It's like a bigger hotel so felt not too personal. Not very soundproofed, could hear the people above us move and also from the corridor. Kitchen can be used only from the sister hotel next door.

Pros: The female receptionist was friendly, clean and comfortable accommodation. I slept quite well here.

Cons: Was a weird vibe socially, lots of people isolated and on their laptops, I wouldn’t choose this place if you want to meet people for a party

Pros: Overall I was happy but difference in the standard and comfort between the different rooms is huge. I had booked a private double room with a shared bath for two nights. The room I was given was downstairs and felt more like a spartan prison to be honest. I asked to change rooms the following morning. I had to pay the difference in price of course and oh boy was I glad I did so. If at all possible, I recommend booking a private room with a private bedroom. The women at reception were both very nice, especially one of them. I also asked for an extra blanket for the second night as it got chilly at nighttime and was given one no problem. Thanks to upgrading my room I was pleased in the end.

Perfect for 1 or 2 nights

Pros: The guesthouse is located in a good part of town, within walking distance of important city landmarks. Close to the bus station. Clean, warm showers. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for a one of two nights.

Cons: Only one toilet and shower for about 6 rooms on the level.

Beautiful building, connected to the fine Hostel next door.

Pros: My dorm is located in a great mansion-like building.

Cons: Too bad there is so much traffic noise. The motorcycle vacarm is incessant in that part of San José. Idem with trains.

Pros: Central location and great facilities like the restaurant, pool and hangout area. Friendly prices for the meals and helpful staff

Cons: Hygiene could have been better. There were some weird stains on the curtains and holes in the sheets. But rooms were basic and sheets seemed clean. Good value for money!

Perfect

Pros: Cleanliness, spacious room, comfortable beds ,hot water ,nice lobby, free access to swimming pool an hammocks there is also a bar/restaurant , the hotel is located in a safe and clean area , walking distance to town

Cons: Nothing everything was perfect

Pros: Good safe area,near to museums, Chinatown, two good restaurants nearby

Pros: I have been here a couple of times and i would come back. Thanks for your job. The girls are always nice and attentive.
