Pros: Everything! Simple rooms, comfortable beds, warm water, beautiful property right across the street from the beach, a common kitchen area, staff were friendly and helpful, Paco and Esmeralda the iguanas, the howler monkeys…

Great location, friendly staff and very comfortable.

Pros: A lovely, friendly place to stay in a great location. Literally cross the road and you’re at the beach. Balcony with seating and table, a great place to relax on a hot afternoon. The kitchen was well equipped and the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend it to other visitors.

perfect location to stay in Tamarindo

Pros: I really loved the hotel’s location—it was just a one-minute walk from the beach. The area was very central, convenient, and surprisingly quiet. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind. On the day I lost my phone, she went above and beyond by helping with translations and lending me her phone so I could contact my family. I will never forget her kindness. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay, especially because the hotel was so close to the beach.

Pros: The property is clean, well-maintained and easy to find. It has secure onsite parking, and as our campervan was too tall, the staff kindly helped us find another property nearby we could park at. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. While a lot of other reviews mention the traffic noise, we couldn’t hear anything with a fan on and slept soundly. The staff were so kind and helped us with every question. We would recommend this stay.

Marellos is best .

Pros: Its simple extremely clean great position. I loved it.its one of the original and iconic early Tamarindo hotels.everything is quite basic but also everything you need. It's not luxury but perfect in every way for a beach holiday right next to the oldest surf school Iguana surf and is well priced too.🩷🩷

Pros: It’s a brilliant place to stay. Basic but full of character. I don’t really want to tell everybody about this place because I don’t want it to change! A little Haven in a world of commercialisation.
