Great stay off the beaten tracks, with basic accommodation
Pros: The staff was super friendly. The food at the restaurant was some of the best we had in CR. Hugo was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable. We saw incredible birds (boat-billed herons, green parrots, aras, and many more) and took a boat trip to the border of Nicaragua. On the way, we even saw a crocodile mother with 4 tiny babies.
Cons: The bungalows are clean but no-frills and quite country style. There is no mosquito net.

Au plus proche de la nature
Pros: Pour couper de la frénésie de la ville et profiter à 200% de la nature c’était parfait, le personnel était vraiment adorable, toujours souriant, à l’écoute et attentionné !
Cons: La première nuit nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de découvrir du riz avec des fourmis dans l’un de nos lit, cependant le personnel a été très compréhensif et nous avons pu changer de chambre sans souci

Great hotel and an amazing place for birding with many feeding areas on the grounds.
Pros: The included breakfast was good and prepared fresh and the open air dinning room is great with hummingbird feeders and feeders for other birds as well next to the dinning area so you have a great view while you dine. The hotel offers many excursions including a not to be missed guided boat trip on the Rio Juan Carlos to the boarder with Nicaragua. A short drive away the hotel owners own a large forested property with trails which you can walk at no cost but I would recommend the guided trip so as not to miss anything!
Cons: Not much we didn't like but just note that you need to reserve for your lunch and dinner. I'm not sure why as there are no other restaurants in the area but I guess you could eat at another lodge in the area.

Pros: Een prachtige plek, midden in de natuur, veel dieren in de directe omgeving, goede excursies en buitengewoon aardig personeel.

Vogelparadijs
Pros: De kamers met zicht op de rivier zijn heel mooi. Van op de hangstoelen op het terras kan je uren kijken naar de vogels, de iguana's... Ontzettend veel vogels op het terrein (worden gevoederd). Je kan gaan wandelen in het eigen reservaat (met of zonder gids).
Cons: Dit heeft niet met de accommodatie te maken maar met de locatie. Hou rekening met de kleine steekvliegjes/muggen overdag.

Pros: Exceptionnel. Logements en pleine nature avec proximité des animaux, singes, oiseaux.. Balade en bateau de 4h avec guide de l'hôtel, c'est exceptionnel. Je recommande.

Ein Aufenthalt, der für Tier-/Naturfreunde nicht schöner sein kann.
Pros: Frühstück costarikanisch gut, aber nicht zum satt werden. Übrige Mahlzeiten super. Für Vogelliebhaber ein kaum zu übertreffender Platz. Einsame,abgelegene Lage. Schöner Bootsausflug. Personal sehr freundlich.
Cons: Die schöne geräumige Hütte war leider auch bei Käfern und Küchenschaben beliebt...! Durch das Blechdach bei Regen z.T. Schlafen nicht möglich.

Un petit coin de paradis
Pros: Environnement exceptionnel avec des oiseaux partout, c’était magnifique, coloré naturel, tropical des fleurs des couleurs, enfin, en quelques mots, un cadre paradisiaque avec une chambre grande confortable, des fauteuils Rocchi, chair pour la détente et profiter de la vue
Cons: Un accueil un peu froid, on nous demande de choisir dès notre arrivée vers 14 heures ce que l’on désire manger le soir ce qui était difficile car on sortait de table, on avait pas le choix, on ne pouvait pas réfléchir. C’est un petit peu dommage car tout le reste était parfait.
