Accommodation and setting 5/5 but food only 3/5

Pros: V comfy large bedroom, nice pool and spa facilities, friendly staff, landscaping advice and excellent massage.

Cons: The massive tropical storm for 2 days. Not hotel's fault obviously! The food was average although not expensive. No proper coffee,limited choice of two different main courses, margarine not butter for breakfast. Small things that matter. Difficult to understand why no proper espressos or cappuccino available!

Tortuguero was one of the absolute highlights of our trip and is an absolute must visit.

Pros: Best feature was having visits from howler monkeys and sloths by the pool. Boat transfers were easy and the longer transfers to Pavona and to Moin were scenic and enjoyable. Food was decent and really liked breakfast buffet. Turtle viewing and kayak tours were lovely. Fan was fine for cooling us down - we were worried about not having AC but was completely fine. Bungalows were very nice. Barbi at front desk was very nice and helpful. Thanks :)

Cons: Nothing really albeit the town itself was a bit more basic than we had imagined. But was authentic and people were friendly as always. Jungle walk around hotel was okay but not as good as we imagined, and is at sister hotel next door Pachira lodge.

Pros: Amazing place either way nice staff. Barbie girl helped us alit. She also was our guide in the nturtle nestling tour at night. Really amazing.

Absolutely worth the price – the location, the room, and the service.

Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location; in fact, you are right in the middle of the forest and wildlife. It offers boat shuttle services at fixed times, and any activity can be arranged through the hotel at a fair price.

Cons: Breakfast could use some refreshment and improvement, and in the evening it’s better to go out to eat in town.

Nice lodge with a jungle feeling you will miss!

Pros: If you want to spend a few nights in the middle of the jungle but can't do without the luxury of a great pool area, this is the place for you. Howler monkeys populated the trees of the complex, and at night you could hear the jungle come to life. And you should know that you have to take a boat taxi to reach the center of Tortugero, where the restaurants, all the shops, and the tour operators are located. However, the crossing is short, and you can even use the hotel boat for free at certain times. And this small inconvenience is definitely worth staying in the jungle instead of Tortugero “town.”

Cons: The breakfast was only okay. I would recommend not necessarily booking the tours through the hotel, or at least comparing prices.

Pros: Jungle location, free water taxis and stunning ride in along canals. Great pool & entrance. Large bathroom. Omelettes for breakfast.

Cons: No service on eSIM and WiFi not working (temporarily).

Go – and experience the rainforest up close.

Pros: You quite literally stay in the middle of nature. The pool is wonderful, the food is great, and the surroundings are magical.

Cons: I loved everything.

Amazing location, hotel and staff

Pros: Beautiful hotel. The pool area was amazing with a bar and even lots of howler monkeys. The room was beautiful and the 2 female staff went above and beyond during our stay. The breakfast was delicious and on several occasions due to early tours the staff opened the restaurant earlier or later for us.

Cons: Lunch and dinner very limited for a vegetarian.
