Bioluminiscencia Hostel Tours - South

Pros: The owner of this property Coco is really nice and he organized a great private tour to Isla Tortuga for us. We went with captain Adrian and his wife Tatiana who are amazing people! They showed us all the nice sports around at the sea and we had a great freediving experience with Adrian (he is an experienced captain, diver and spearfisher). If you are staying here we recommend you book the tour with Coco - it was one of the best experience we had in Costa Rica. The tree outside of hostel is full of birds and other wildlife so it is fun to wake up early and observe the wildlife. Paquera is a great location in Costa Rica which is not too crowded with tourists so you can enjoy the place and meet really nice locals.

Pros: The service was excellent! Coco is a guy who goes absolutely above and beyond for you! He was so generous and positive that it made my stay so much more enjoyable. We shared drinks by the pool, I learned about the culture and the POOOL!! amazing, especially for the price. I must recommend it

Rooms affordable, tour was exceptional!

Pros: The owner coco is so nice and very helpful. Rooms are affordable - you get what you pay for. Although your was AMAZING! I only came to Paquera to see the bioluminescence and coco convinced me to do the full day tour. SO worth the money, 10/10 experience, if you’re staying here I highly Recommend doing the full day tour in dry season. Thank you!!

Nice place, amazing tours, lovely pool

Pros: The pool is fantastic, coco and the staff are vero friendly and accommodating, there are different rooms for the type of stay you need. The price matches what you will get, and it is nice to have economic solutions for a short stay. The tour are amazing and I had the bioluminescence one and the one to Isla Tortuga, on our way back we managed to have a very close encounter with some whales. Fascinating

Pros: Coco is a great host: welcoming and kind, he arranged for us a wonderful boat tour in Nicoya Bay, among the islands. i think Coco is the reason to choose this accomodation (he also provided us a laundry for our clothes before the intercontinental flight).

Cons: Maybe the price is not perfectly balanced with the room's size and look. but it's ok.

Pros: The location was good, both close to the town and close to the sea and the ship And you have a really cool pool and the place visually looks nice and clean

Pros: The pool was really dreamy, nice hammocks to relax. Came for the bioluminiscence tour which was awesome! Due to the town being aside of the typical gringo trail, only one more girl slept in the dorm with me. Towel and soap provided.

Cons: Location was a little out of town, so prepare for a hot walk in the sun to get to shops or the soda. Staff only spoke Spanish which may make it hard for others. Dorm room could use some renovation and privacy curtains.

Will recommend it

Pros: A great value for me place with all comfort of individual rooms and amenities ( Pool & Restaurant) at the price of a Hostel.

Cons: The location require your own car. Think of it as a motel well located for getting to nearby activities.

Coco and staff very helpful and went on the Bioluminescence tour with them and was amazing thanks.

Pros: Good swimming pool and helpful staff. Good at accommodating for our gluten free son.
