Pros: Joel - the volunteer - was amazing! The place is close to everything. There were not alot of people there at the moment, but as I just needed a place to recharge for myself it was great / if you want to meet people maybe a bit harder. The family that owns the place was very nice. Thank you.

An amazing hostel to stay when in and/or around Montezuma.

Pros: Have stayed at Pura Vida Hostel Montezuma many, many times throughout my travels to Costa Rica. Each time returning to beautiful Montezuma I book myself in to Pura Vida Hostel. Love this hostel. Clean, friendly and with helpful staff members. Thank you guys for being so very welcoming.

A good one!

Pros: I was afraid after reading all the bad reviews but to be fair, it is not such a bad place, let alone with the good prices for Costa Rica. The private room was big enough and had some hangers and a nice small table to put things on. It could get really hot during the day, but at night with the big fan, you could sleep just fine. Also, there's a lovely family of monkeys living outside.

Cons: Things to improve: the mattress was very thin; the bathrooms don't have soap, which I think it's a basic need, there is not storage room for food and some animals get into the kitchen and try to steal your food.

Cute hostel in Montezuma

Pros: Nice hostel and very good location, quiet but still close to the center and the beach, friendly staff

Cons: It was pretty warm in the dorm but it's okay with the fans, the fridge was super full (they have a second one but it was out of order)
