Pros: Best hostel i have stayed in for a while. It‘s a magical place with beach access which feels like a private beach. Comfy area to sit outside with lots of hammocks. One day we did even see whales from the hostel. Nice sunsets and even more the sunrises! Lucy is super friendly and helpful! If you are planning to go to Montezuma, this is the place to be!

Pros: good location close to beach and easy to walk to the centre (a little challenging just at night because there is not sufficient light on the street), possible to leave a luggage before check-in and after check-out. Skilled staff at reception.
Cons: the room is located to the main road. On the other hand, the isolation is pretty good so I was not disturbed by passing cars or motos so much.

Beautiful view, great people, and clean hostel despite a few downsides
Pros: Everything was super clean. The view is beautiful and really makes the stay special. The people were great, and the kitchen was excellent. Free coffee is available, which you can enjoy while taking in the view. They also have a few yoga mats available if needed. The beds are ok and they provide a towel. I would recommend this hostel for the view and the atmosphere, and overall I’d choose it over other hostels in Montezuma.
Cons: At first, I was a bit skeptical when I arrived around 9 pm, as the hostel is quite old. The shared bathroom did not have hot water. You can hear outside noise at night, including waves and some motorcycles, but there weren’t many and it didn’t prevent me from sleeping.

The ocean at your feet
Pros: I loved the view! The ocean at your feet, first thing you see in the morning, last thing you hear before falling asleep. Staff were not too bad either:) Loads of things to do around there.

Pros: I just did not want to leave:-) so I extended my stay for a few more nights. It feels very relaxing (as Montezuma itself), the common area is big enough for everyone to find a perfect place to chill (hammocks, terrace, garden, ...) with fantastic views and is ideal for meeting other guests. It is almost on the beach and within a 10 minut walking distance to the downtown (a nice soda is just 100m actually). A cleaning lady comes daily. Naty who runs the hostel is very friendly and helps you to organise trips cheaply (or for free). I have really enjoyed my stay there ans can recommend it-the vibe was excellent.

Pros: This place offerred the best landscape during our experience in Costa Rica, period! The vision of the Pacific Ocean from a cliff, the jungle all around, the silence interrupted only by the owler monkeys and colourful birds, the bright stars during the night... everything still gives me goosebumps!
Cons: The people are nice, the service is quite basic (it's an hostel, after all). But the excellent price compensate it. It's a great choice

Pros: I absolutely loved everything: the place is amazing, it's clean, the staff is friendly, and I slept really well! It's by far the best hostel I've stayed at in Costa Rica.

Great hostel in Montezuma!
Pros: Excellent location, easy walk into town but far enough away to be quiet. Property overlooks the ocean, amazing sunrises. Naty was a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful with local information.

Beautiful hostel !
Pros: The hostel is very comfortable, you feel like home. The highlight is the view and the distance to the beach (a small beach, almost always empty). You can be eating or chilling and always see the ocean. The staff is very sympathic, the others customers too. There is a kitchen, many bathrooms. The hostel propose some tours so it's easier to book. I wanted to stay longer but the hostel was already full... In conclusion, I totally recommand this place !!

I recommend this hostel for a stay in Montezuma!
Pros: Nice vibe overall and incredible sunrise on the ocean. The common area with hammocks is relaxing and inviting. The room and kitchen areas were clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions and doubts, Luís helped us organise our activities. The Montezuma waterfall is at walking distance, a few minutes away from the hostel and it’s breathtaking! We had a great time in Montezuma and the area around it!
Cons: The lighting of the common area at night should be improved to make it cosier and a little brighter. Some warm light could really improve the already great terrace at night.
