A wonderful place to stay

Pros: The location and the panorama is just amazing. Friendly staff and good restaurant.

Cons: The walls are very thin, you hear everything from the neighbor rooms. Breakfast was ok, but could be improved

Pros: This was a last minute booking that turned into a great experience. Staff was super friendly and rooms were super comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was really yummy and the views were amazing as well! Really LOVED the towel turtle they left on the bed! It was such a cute detail.

Stunning beautiful location and gardens

Pros: Location is breathtaking beautiful. Accomodation bit outdated but well kept. Garden beautiful and full of birds . View from the restaurant is a gift. Staff friendly.

Cons: Restaurant is very expensive for Costa Rica, which cannot be reasoned from high quality food. We dined only once and searched better places outside. Breakfast limited to three basic choices, very little fruit and the coffee was weak. You can ask for extra jam and butter though, but we discovered day 3. The lady at reception limited the communication upon arrival mainly to inform about house rules and payment right away.

Pros: Nice, cozy and amazing vue of the volcano from our room. We weren't super lucky since it was raining all the time. Which made it hard to see the volcano. But wake up early and u might get lucky. That worked for us. Recommended. The restaurant was a bit too expensive for dinner. Regardless food is good. I would eat elsewhere if ud want to expend your money., breakfast is good (included) . I recommend this place

Great stay with a perfect view from our balcony of the volcano

Pros: Excellent location. Great view of Arenal volcano, good pool area and nice restaurant.

Pros: A lovely hotel with really comfortable beds and a lovely swimming pool and hot tub! The views are amazing and we found a tree with 5 toucans in it one day behind our room! Loved watching the hummingbirds everyday as well. Located only 10 mins from sky adventures (hanging bridges and zip lines) and 30 min drive from La Fortuna. For lunch/dinner go left at bottom of drive and find the local restaurant! Breakfast is great; option of eggs and ham (American), pancakes, or local (rice, black beans, egg) Watch the volcano to tell the weather! If you can't see the volcano, get your waterproofs on!

Pros: Fantastic view. Good food. Not so overrun. Had a nice time there.

Amazing views!

Pros: Unbelievable views of the volcano and lake. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a good balcony but a fridge would have made a big difference. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The pool was lovely and it was very special to sit in the hot tub watching the sunset over those spectacular views. The restaurant/bar was good although we only ate there once. El Castillo is a great village with good mini markets and restaurants. The most fantastic place we ate in was called Ventanita at the top of the hill, so quite a climb, but absolutely worth it. We also visited the butterfly conservation centre which was excellent and we also went hiking at the Arenal Observatory Lodge and saw lots of wildlife and spent half a day at Eco Termales hot springs which was fabulous (outstanding lunch!) You do need a car here.

A beautiful property with amazing views and comfortable beds!

Pros: Loved the accommodations and the views! Breakfast was good: you pick from 3 choices, typica, American, and pancakes. The typical breakfast was a hit, as were the pancakes.

Cons: Not a problem with the property, just a suggestion: Get there before sunset if at all possible. The road is very curvy and a little sketchy in the dark.
