Chateau Arenal Hotel & Restaurante

If you need quiet and peaceful place!

Pros: It was about 20 min from the centre, peaceful, quiet and serene. Incredible staff, super nice and helped with everything! Amazing view, so many different birds!

Cons: The bed was little hard.

Pros: The staff is amazing, , so nice and the food was really good. The place is great , we loved the pool and the view

Cons: The cabins are old and need some renovation and the bed is a little bit hard. But would definitely stay here again , we loved the place.

A hotel to feel at home!

Pros: Wow - thank you chateau arenal for a great stay! The hotel and the rooms were beautiful and clean, the food was delicious but what really stood out was the staff! All of them are SO kind and real great hosts. Unfortunately we didn‘t get the names of everyone but especially Robert and Danielle were so ambitious in helping us with everything. Thank you so so much!!

Cons: We were a little bummed by the long drive to downtown La Fortuna, but one of the girls from the reception desk organized a really kind and safe driver for us!

Loved the location and staff.

Pros: Amazing amazing location. So quiet and views incredible. Did the nature walk and Merlin picked up 22 species including 3 types of Toucans.Danielle and Robert and rest of staff all amazingly helpful

Stay for three nights

Pros: Excellent choice! Overall, we are very happy that we chose this accommodation for our trip. The staff at the accommodation and in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. There is also an infinity pool and hot tub on site.

Pros: Beautiful location. Very spacious and comfortable room with a nice view of the Arenal volcano.Friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Wonderful place, stunning location, incredible food, amazing staff!

Pros: Location was perfect for exploring the area, and gave amazing views over the volcano and mountains. The room was spacious with private outside areas and plenty of sockets. All the food massively exceeded expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating personal requests and helping organise activities and transport for us.

Beautiful view. Loved the birds.

Pros: The room was basic but clean and comfortable. These are small, self-contained cabins with a view of Mount Arenal. We drove to the site in a 4-wheel-drive hire car, which was needed for the steep roads in the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were able to have our laundry done. We especially loved all the birds we saw while staying here - more than we saw at any national park!

Cons: The breakfast is okay but nothing to write home about. More interesting options are available but not included in the price of the room. The site isn't on the usual pick-up route for tours. The shower head needed fixing. It was more like a tap running than a shower.

Staff was excellent.

Pros: Bkfast was ok. Limited choice but tasty. But the view was great.

Beautiful view and helpful staff

Pros: Great view of the volcan directly from the bed. Staff really nice and helpful. I had a payment problem with one card which resulted as the amount frozen on my account. They did the necessary to resolve it quickly. And Christian, one waiter of the restaurant is very friendly and funny and give good tips about what to do in the area.

Cons: Bad smell in the bathroom when we arrived, they fixed it but it started smelling bad again the day we left.
