Orquideas Boutique Hotel

Pros: Beautiful grounds and plants, loved the warm pools. Breakfast had 3 options and was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Water pressure and temperature in the shower wasn't great.

Beautiful landscaping

Pros: Very well kepf hotel, beautiful landscaping, a river running along the property. Beautiful pool with 3 jacuzzis at different temperatures. Views to the volcano. Good breakfast (in most places in Costa Rica, it is not buffet breakfast, rather you choose one plate) - but it should include fruits... Very spacious room. Close enough to la Fortuna.

Cons: A few details: that the room lacks in decoration and hangers (there are no places to hang anything nor a wardrobre); there are no windows in the bathroom, which keeps a weird smell in the room and things just won't dry... There should be a protection net in the bedroom window if you want to open it without bugs coming in... There are no blackout curtains in the room so it gets a lot of light, even during the night (there was a light post right in front of the bedroom we stayed in); mattress was a bit more on the hard side...

Beautiful property, comfortable rooms and a wonderful restaurant.

Pros: The location was great, with beautiful landscaped grounds. The pool area with it's hot springs was a nice way to end an active day of adventure in the surrounding area. The restaurant was terrific and the staff was great.

Cons: It was hard to leave after our 2 night stay.

A beautiful little resort in the middle of a blooming garden with pools and a hot tub.

Pros: A small resort in a beautiful garden with a view of the volcano and several houses of different sizes. An amazing pool and three hot tubs where you can relax after a day's trips. Our apartment 211 was very clean , modern with comfortable bed .The staff was very nice and helpful. I really recommend this hotel ♥

Cons: It would be necessary to improve the breakfast a little. No vegetables, fruit, muesli or yogurt. I think everything could be perfect then. There is no hanger for clothes in the room, no hook for towels in the bathroom and there is no table on the terrace but its small things they can only improve everything .

Nice option but not the best I have been in La Fortuna

Pros: Nice little house for 4 with 2 bedrooms (concrete prefab local nothing crazy for the price) Gardens and pool / hot jacuzzi

Cons: We waited 1h30 to be served for breakfast because a big group arrived After we ordered and got served before us, while other tables that ordered same time got theirs breakfast on time. Bad timing.. It would have be nice to be aware of the waiting as we were told only after 1hour of waiting that the group ordered the day before...

Easy stay in La Fortuna

Pros: The barman was friendly and happy. Double thick mattresses were great. Food was good.

Cons: Breakfast limited. Rooms lacked natural light, and no nice place to sit outside (on the folding chairs provided 🙄).

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Pros: Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds of the property were lush and beautiful. The hot tubs in the big pool area were hot and enjoyable. Our server Alina in the restaurant was excellent. The Wifi in the pool area and the restaurant was very good. The location of the property was great.

Cons: The location of our cottage was not the best. We were assigned the first cottage that was behind the parking area. There was construction going on right behind the cottage and no view of the beautiful grounds. The Wifi in our cottage was poor.

Lovely setting, great staff, lovely pool/s, great to be able to get food and drink when you wanted

Pros: Breakfast was great, limited choice but more than adequate, staff were fabulous

Cons: The rooms have nowhere to dry anything and as it rained quite a bit, that did cause an issue. Room had a permeant musty damp smell, not terrible but always there and I suppose that was due to the climate which, as it's in the rainforest, is wet quite a bit. Our main issue was that there were workmen putting a balcony extension onto the room above us which was sometimes noisy, but we do appreciate that this will enhance the hotel once completed - all staff were fabulous

Worth the price

Pros: The gardens are top notch, breakfast was good, staff were excellent and attentive, and we enjoyed the pool/hot tubs. Great location to town and attractions.

Cons: The rooms are clean and efficient but the lighting is difficult, all overhead and a bit abrasive.

Great place, peaceful garden right outside the quite hectic La Fortuna.

Pros: Such a nice place, kids loved the pool and we really liked it was so quiet with birds and spotting monkeys.
