San Bosco Inn

Pros: Great location. In the town so easy to walk to get dinner. Very nice people. Room big enough and comfortable. Combination with hot springs is for sure and advantage

Excellent value for money for bigger groups

Pros: They gave us passes to Volcano lodge which is about a 10-15 min drive away and it was really lovely. The breakfast was particularly delicious and the staff were friendly. Good location on a quiet street but easy to walk to many good shops and restaurants

Cons: Our room was above reception (i think) and we could hear some noise from there or maybe another room

Comfortable Central Hotel

Pros: Excellent typical breakfast each morning Comfortable room Excellent location for walking around La Fortuna Entry to sister hotel was a great option

Pros: Swimming pool, location close to city center, good buffet breakfast

Lovely place to stay for a few days. Close to town and facilities are good for a break

Pros: Wasn’t busy. Friendly staff and access to hot springs. Ice machine and pool.

Cons: Could do with mini fridge in room. Bar would be nice by pool.

2 nights stay in December

Pros: Very clean and spacious room with one king size bed and one normal, friendly stuff, we stayed for 2 nights, but we should have stayed longer, as there was a lot of things to do around. There's a pool and coffee & tea available for 24 h/day. Garden full of birds, which can be very loud especially in the morning :-) The central position is very good, we had lots of restaurants and shops around, the square with very nice Christmas decorations we went to in the evening. On one evening we used the possibility to go to the hot springs in the sister hotel Volcano Lodge and it was fantastic 👌 Naturally hot water coming from Earth as there's the volcano Arenal, lots of litte pools and jacuzzis in the hotel area, sauna and bar. During the day we went for a zipline trip with Sky adventures and it was one of the most exciting experiences we've made 👍 Mystical hanging bridges tour was worthy too. At the reception they borrow the hair dryers 😊

Cons: The key cards to the room were unreliable, we had to avoid contact with a phone, but even though it didn't work twice in just 2 days and we needed to contact the receptionist.

Pros: Good breakfast included, nice pool, friendly staff, and nice to have access to hotsprings in another resort 10-15minhtes drive

Good for stay for few days.

Pros: Great breakfast. Swimmingpool was nice with view on the vulcano. Tarace on the roof also give a great view on the vulcano. No problem with parking. Good location - close to the center yet a bit away from the main road. Coffee and hot water and tea available in the rest place - with coffeetable, sofa and armchairs next to the reception (also the toilets there). Ice-machine also available behind the reception building.

Cons: Thin walls so you heard every noise and your neighbours. The noice also was fransfered via bathroom pipes. Would be great if the rooms were equipped with kettles. The coffee and hot water were available in hot-bottles/thermos so frequently happened that especially there was shortage of hot water (additional thremos would help).

Amazing location, delicious breakfast

Pros: My partner and I loved this hotel. Nice view to Arenal, delicious breakfast (traditional Costa Rican), nice location within the city, close to bars and restaurants, and you can use the thermals from another hotel which is amazing. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was clean. We loved San Bosco and we would definetly stay here again.

Incredible value great sleep and I felt really really safe there.

Pros: Very easy to find and the room was really big and super clean with a really beautiful balcony that you could sit on with a little rocking chair

Cons: Maybe Reception could be a little bit more friendly? But I’m sure they have such a massive group of people coming through all all the time..
