Excellent hotel made even better by helpful and friendly staff.

Pros: Its location is excellent with fabulous views of the sunset. A good range of facilities. Well designed and able to cope with all weathers (it was rainy, windy and sunny all at the same time!) Staff were incredibly helpful and arranged great excursions/guides for us before we arrived. Good breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We made use of the reasonably priced laundry service - very efficient.

Cons: Minor point - the shampoo and conditioner were not great - suggest you take you own.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful, we were blown away on arrival. The outside areas + fire pits and the pool are lovely as was the jacuzzi. The sunset views from the terrace were stunning and most mornings we were greeted by rainbows. It’s located directly across the road from a good supermarket, and a couple of decent restaurants. The bar staff do a great Negroni and all the staff (as with almost everywhere in Costa Rica) were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Cons: The restaurant was a bit of a let down on the first night, we waited over 10 minutes before having to ask for menus then were served by three different members of staff, possibly because we ate early with our two children. The steaks both came medium rather than as requested although the food generally was good. The jacuzzi could have been warmer on occasion.

Pros: It was very luxurious, and very friendly staff. There was a mix up with our room due to Booking, and the staff fixed it very well. We got a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel Omelet at the breakfastvwas very good!

Cons: The waiting time in the restaurant was quite long, although there were not that many guests.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at hotel Poco a poco. We had a hot tub in our room which we loved and the room was very clean with good facilities. We organised trips through the hotel which were very good quality. Unfortunately our transport did not turn up for one of our morning cloud forest tours which meant we missed it, however reception helped up to organise an alternative bus to the reserve.

Cons: Though breakfast was good food the service you got depended on what time you arrived. If you arrived after a rush you had to chase staff for hot drinks and spoons etc. This was frustrating given the price of the hotel, I would have expected better.

Pros: Pool was excellent. Staff were great and very friendly. They really made us feel welcome.Food was good and the service was excellent. We needed a refuge after a long day of travel and this was it!

Pros: A satisfactory three night stay. The rooms are modern and clean with just about enough space for our family of four. We had three breakfasts and one dinner during our stay. All the food was excellent although the dinner was a little overpriced. The pool area and hot tub are very nice.

Great all round. The family loved it.

Pros: Super staff and lovely hotel. Loved the outside areas, poolside and shared hot tub. Especially enjoyed the margaritas prepared by Pablo who had hand made many exceptional ingredients to really elevate the drinks.

Cons: The pool was quite cool, on a hot day this would have been great but the cooler days we had, it was a little fresh.
