Magical

Pros: All the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The cabins were gorgeous and the setting very special.

Cons: The horseriding was boring, I had an old horse that just walked down the road and back, very disappointing.

Pros: Very interesting farm tour. Delicious food made mainly from products from the farm. It's sustainable but still provides a good level of comfort for the guests. The pools are very clean. Overall, it's an absolutely amazing experience that is well worth the cost for anyone interested in sustainability, farming or self-sufficiency.

Cons: Many of the staff are temporary volunteers and they're very friendly, but not always very knowledgeable.

Fantastic eco-stay with wildlife and other experiences

Pros: Loved the approach to everything they do at this place - very careful approach to minimising environmental impact for guests and staff Food sourced from own property or nearby Land and animals seemed well cared for - went on onsite farm tour Interesting wildlife tours on site Son loved the chocolate making workshop - saw all stages from cacao trees growing, how beans harvested and transformed into chocolate Helpful, friendly staff Food choices could be slightly more varied day to day, but always tasty, healthy options, and plenty to eat

Cons: A few small problems with ensuite bathroom, but always rectified quickly when reported

Cons: Could be more vegetarian main options on the dinner and lunch buffet but it’s a small thing

Pros: It's a beautiful place in a very nice setting with a sustainable concept. The staff is very friendly and engaged. Horse rising was great and the kids can experience the animals on the farm.

Cons: Adjust your expectations, despite the pricing this is not a luxury ressort.

Wonderful stay

Pros: The place is very well integrated in the nature and environment, very beautiful and relaxing. Many activities included in the price which kept us busy for 2 days (farm tour, yoga, pools). Very professional, friendly and polite staff made our stay even more enjoyable. Very good eat-as-you-want meals. We were picked up at the bus stop in La Fortuna which was very helpful.

Cons: There could be more traditional dishes to eat as most dishes are pasta / pizza / salad. Good to know: The road to get there is a dirt road.

Pros: My stay at Rancho Margot was amazing. The staff is really friendly and the area of the farm is amazing. Most of the food offered there is from their farm. The two pools are amazing.
