Loma Real Hot Springs Bed & Breakfast

Pros: Good location outside La Fortuna between the volcano and the city center, warm pools, view on the volcano, well equipped kitchen

Cons: Staff took a long time to reply to questions. Self check-in isn't super smooth. We were helped by another guest and helped other guests to explain check-in.

Pros: Very spacious room with a kitchen, coffee and tea. Very comfortable beds. The hot springs are great, with a very nice view of the volcano. The showers have a nice water pressure. There are peacocks around. Other reviews mentioned it is difficult to get in touch for the check in but this is no longer the case and you can do self check in as soon as you arrive..

Cons: The hot springs could be cleaner, although perhaps in rainy season it is difficult.

All in all a nice stay. We would return anytime.

Pros: the room was very nice, very hot water with lot of pressure, beautiful garden, we saw different species of frogs, toucan and cacao. the view over the volcano, different pool with thermal water

Cons: no kitchen to cook by yourself, breakfast wasn’t very good I am sorry, also it can get noisy if your neighbours are not respectful

Pros: Excellent location! It is a quiet oasis (other than the occasionally boisterous resident peacocks which didn't bother us) with a beautiful garden and a warm pool. We didn't have a car and were able to walk to a few restaurants and the Eco Terminales hot springs.

Cons: The only down side (a minor one) is that the breakfast costs extra ($8 pp). This led to a bit of embarrassment since I thought it was included because I had filtered on \

Simple and low key but brilliant value for money

Pros: Hot springs pool looking up at the volcano was incredible. Simple but delicious breakfast in a quiet area surrounded by trees, hummingbirds, peacocks and chickens. Staff were very friendly and you can check yourself in and out. Very close to La Fortuna which has loads of restaurants. Close to Arenal Volcano which has endless activities and experiences.

Cons: The track to the hotel is gravel and has a few pot holes. Not major issue but needs to be taken slowly.
