Hotel Eco Arenal

Pros: The place is clean, modern, spacious, and well run. The staff are very helpful and lovely. The breakfast is very nice too. The gardens are beautiful.

Cons: It'd be nice if they provided tea bags in the room.

Pros: Good buffet breakfast with wide options of food and drink. Could also watch the abundance of birds as you ate. Lovely gardens with plenty of colourful flowers. Laura on reception was outstanding. She helped us secure a place on the river rafting at short notice and made sure we had all the details. The hotel was great value for money and exceeded my expectations

Cons: I’m glad we had a car as it is on the outskirts of La Fortuna so we drove in to eat.

Great stay!

Pros: We had a very comfortable stay, the hotel is very clean. We particularly enjoyed the balcony over looking the garden and the birds. The restaurant was also very pleasant in a garden setting. Breakfast was fabulous.

Cons: It would have been nice to have complimentary coffee in the room so we could make a drink.

Everything was absolutely great!

Pros: Perfectly located, not far form the city center, but in a very calm and quite area! I liked everything!

Pros: Breakfast was buffet style. It was delicious, in an open area with a great variety of birds feeding nearby and flowering plans.

Pros: The breakfast was great. Rice and beans, plantains, scrambled eggs and some empanadas. Giant water cooler to refill bottles which was very appreciated. We were allowed to hang out by the pool after check out which was great. The rooms also were fabulous with a separate shower, sink in the actual room and toilet around the corner.

Cons: The shower room let in a lot of light. We had to block it with pillows so we could sleep. Otherwise no complaints.

Good value for money and terrific room quality

Pros: We stayed in the new block of rooms and felt as if we won the jackpot. Really nice spacious room with en-suite and a balcony looking out to the Arenal Volcano. Super clean and comes with air-con. For the price you pay it was well worth it just for the quality of the room. Across the road is Mary's BBQ which is a good place to eat if you don't fancy the walk into La Fortuna town.

Cons: Breakfast was very limited and the staff sometimes weren't present but were nice when they did interact with those staying at the hotel. It is a fair walk into La Fortuna town and the road has no sidewalk/pavement so at night does feel slightly dangerous however the area feels safe.

Fantastic can’t wait to return

Pros: We loved the howler monkeys and all the birds and frogs Thankyou to Gregory the groundskeeper. Also loved the clean large pool

Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast buffet should be changed a bit at least every 2 days.
