Hotel Secreto La Fortuna

Excellent!

Pros: Lovely garden with pool. Comfortable room. Walking distance to centre hiwever still extremely quiet. And sloths on nearby trees 🦥

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Very well located hotel on the edge of La Fortuna. Lovely gardens with lots of birds, and sloths in the trees just outside the hotel entrance! Very helpful staff. Large comfortable bed, rooms kept very clean.

Cons: Soundproofing between the rooms not very good. Water in the shower never properly hot. Breakfast adequate but not much choice.

Pros: There were 3 different options for breakfast. All were very good. Breakfast staff were friendly and courteous. Room on the ground floor had big sliding doors, and a small outdoor patio, great for watching the hummingbirds, and birds feeding on the flowering plants. The room seemed to be always damp, and a slight musty smell. Housekeeping did a fantastic job cleaning the rooms daily.

Pros: This was our first stay in Costa Rica and we were so happy with Hotel Secreto. It is just a few minutes away from the business of town to make it feel peaceful. We loved the luscious garden, the pool, the outside seating area - great spot to watch the beautiful humming birds and a great view of Arenal Volcano. Room was comfortable, good air con, good shower and plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

A good place to stay in La Fortuna

Pros: Great location a few minutes from the shops and restaurants. Good spacious and clean rooms. Nice pool to cool off. Lots of colourful birds in the gardens. Staff were kind and friendly. We even spotted a sloth in a tree by the car park! Breakfast very good.

Inviting, comfortable, great breakfast!

Pros: Close to everything, staff was lovely, and a great view of the volcano.

Cons: Rain - but not their fault.

Pros: Lovely setup with nice view on the volcano. Garden was lovely with hummingbirds and flowers. Breakfast was also good. Location within walkable distance from the city center. Parking also available.

Cons: Pillows a bit lumpy & doors need maintenance as difficult to close

Pros: The location is in the centre but at really peacefil and quiet place. Beautiful garden full of birds, we saw a sloth and armadillo. Staff is very helpful and kind

Perfect stay in La Fortuna

Pros: This hotel was perfectly located—right in town, yet set within beautiful grounds. I loved watching the birds flying around during breakfast, and the presence of wildlife on the property was a real highlight; there were even sloths in the trees. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was everything I wanted in a hotel—thank you for a lovely stay. Pura Vida 🙂

Cons: Nothing everything was great - maybe that I had to miss breakfast one morning because I had to leave at 6.30am for a day trip which was a shame.
