Pros: The host is lovely and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had its own large, private balcony with seating, an outdoor sink and refrigerator.

Rainy but very enjoyable few days

Pros: Each day they put out bananas in a couple of areas. One near the balcony and another near the restaurant, lots of birds came each day to feed, watching them was fascinating. Staff were super helpful - it rained every day and they lent us umbrellas. They also offer a free short night tour of the grounds and pointed out wildlife such as frogs. Town centre was very near a 5-10 minute walk. Eco as well recycling. Was able to get into our room earlier as well. They offer tours but we had booked beforehand. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: The location on the edge of town was perfect! With the forest and mountain view and wide variety of wildlife, what more could you ask for? Only a few minutes walk into town for groceries, restaurants, coffee shops. The room was extremely nice with a big veranda looking into the forest and a view of the Volcano.

Fantastic location, amazing hosts. Top place to stay and top sloth tour.

Pros: Spacious, comfortable bed, good shower and ample dedicated parking. Great location a very short walk to town yet also feeling rural and relaxing. The large balcony was the best though with a perfect view of the volcano and a wide selection of birds constant visitors to the feeders below. Also complete with tea making facilities, a fridge and comfy sofas, fab place for breakfast or a relaxing glass of wine later on. Angela was a wonderful hostess ensuring your stay is comfortable, and Armando is the best wildlife guide we had while in Costa Rica. Really recommend his sloth tour. We saw both 2 and 3 toed sloths, monkeys, bats, and various lizards and birds. Fantastic experience. Really enjoyed the frog tour after dark too.

Pros: A lovely warm welcome from Anjela. The bird viewing was was magical. And the sloth tour with Armando is not to be missed. All was excellent and difficult to imagine anything better.

Absolutely amazing!!

Pros: Armanda and Angela were such nice owners of the place. We felt immediately welcome! The rooms were very spacious, clean and new! The rooms comes with a nice terrace with a small outdoor kitchen. Armando gave us a small night tour through his garden where we saw the most amazing frogd and other wildlife. The pool was nice too! Highly recommend!!

Stay here! You won’t regret it

Pros: Great location, a 2/3 minute walk into the centre of town. The room was so nice with an amazing view of the volcano. The host Angela was so sweet and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into making it nice for her guests. There are many tours run by Armando at the property next door and they are also so worth it as we saw so many cool animals.

Cons: Nothing at all it was wonderful. We would 100% stay here again.

Pros: Perfectly located within easy walking distance of bars and shops yet just on the edge of Fortuna so you could see the volcano and watch the wildlife . The owners went the extra mile to help you . We had a problem with the supplier of a night tour and they sorted it out for us . Amando gave us a private night tour of the area around the property - superb! The room was spacious and the balcony ,with small ‘kitchen’ area , was brilliant as you could keep costs down by buying in takeaways and had a great place to eat a meal whilst watching the birds .

Cons: We couldn’t find anything we didn’t like.

Pros: Loved our stay, the host are really lovely and the room was absolutely great. The little kitchen and the sofa located outside the balcony were great to a spot to make a cup of tea/coffee and chilled after a long day tour. The facilities were great and cleaned, everything was great. This is best place we had been come across since we landed in Costa Rica. I would highly recommended if you are going to La Fortuna for few nights.

Pros: Great location with really good facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and we appreciated them holding our bags after our check out when we had a late transfer.
