Hotel La Choza Inn

Great hostel

Pros: Everything is very clean, and there's a good breakfast included. The unlimited shuttle was very helpful and the people at reception too. Good location to go downtown.

Cons: Becaused it rained all the time, clothes could not dry (good thing they have good laundry service), it would be usefull to have a clothelines under a roof. Also, only one bathroom/shower for 10 girls in the dorm was a bit of a challenge... The pillows are really inconfortable.

Fantastic place, comfortable rooms and great staff

Pros: Fantastic place, friendly and helpful staff - 24hr, parking directly out front, lovely open area for sitting and relaxing. Good private rooms with ensuite. air conditioning and great included breakfast - eggs, rice and toast. Some upstairs rooms.

Cons: A little bit noisy across the road but was too bad or too late

Pros: Well located - silent - good breakfast - good kitchen for the Guest. People working there are super helpful.

Very well run hostal

Pros: Very organized hostal. Seemed very clean, though I was the only one in the shared dorm. Breakfast included, which was very decent. Best gallo pinto I had in all of Costa Rica. Kitchen available after breakfast and until 9pm or something. Fridge to store food. Water from filter to fill up your bottle. Wifi was good.

Cons: It's a bit expensive, also compared to other locations. The service is very high though. And my room was good, because I was alone, but filled with 6 people, it might get a little tight with all the bags and stuff.

Pros: The room was nice and even had a hot shower — nothing too special, but definitely good value for the price. The two younger guys at reception were super friendly and helped us a lot with planning our trip and giving great recommendations. We were also able to leave our bags there and were allowed to take a shower after checking out, which was very convenient. Breakfast was good and the staff overall were very welcoming

Cons: The kitchen could have been cleaner. Also, the older receptionist was extremely unfriendly — he treated us like criminals when we checked out and just wanted to talk to a friend who was still staying there. It really didn’t feel like the welcoming ‘Pura Vida’ vibe we expected, and it left a bitter impression on our whole stay.

Good price/quality stay

Pros: The location is awesome, close to the city centre and all main attractions if you go to La Fortuna

Cons: It was very noisy. After 10 PM, staff and guests were listening to loud music, watching movies without headphones, and having loud conversations. Since there’s a small garden in the middle, the noise echoes throughout the place every evening, and it woke me up regularly.

Pros: Great location down quiet street but super close to town which was excellent for us to enjoy memorable New Years Eve celebrations in the parque. Great having access to use the kitchen & make delicious fruit smoothies.

Cons: We had issues with the hot water on & off

We would definitely recommend La Choza Inn to friends traveling to La Fortuna.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, went above & beyond expectations, especially Anthony at Reception! The kitchen facilities were also excellent.

Cons: It was all good!

Pros: Our private room with own bathroom had a very good fridge, was big and comfortable. I would book again. Nice stuff and nice breakfast too.

Great location for a good price

Pros: Very cozy and nice place. Great location in the center of La Fortuna. The breakfast is local style and delicious (set plate). Helpful personnel and good wifi. Nice little inner court and water refill spot in there.

Cons: Our room was on road side and we could hear some traffic noise but it wasn't too bad.
