Hotel Verde Mar Direct Beach Access

For my short stay at the beach it was perfect.

Pros: Location has a gate at the pool area for direct beach access, exactly as advertised. Most hotels have a short walk to the beach but here you can even take quick shower after a swim and go directly back to the beach.

Pros: The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it is really just a few steps away from a beautiful beach. The room is very simply furnished, but it's enough.

Cons: The room was terribly damp. There is both air conditioning and a dryer, which helps a lot. I would recommend adding towels (they only give one per person).

Pros: Amazing location, right by the beach. Not fancy, but great value for your money, clean room, air-conditioning. And a bonus is all the animals. Sloths hanging everywhere, monkeys coming and going as they please.

Wonderful beachside hotel.

Pros: Very clean room, large (we had a family room with a separate bedroom), very clean. Fantastic access to the beach (best part!). Nice pool (not large).

Cons: Based on the description, we were expecting a functional kitchen so that we could cook food. Although there was a fridge & microwave, and dishes (plates etc), there was no way to cook food (no hot plate or pots/pans). For us, this was a disapointment.

Great beach option

Pros: The location by the spectacular beach (daily sunsets!) and the wildlife around were stunning. The cleaning staff did a great job in tidying up the room every day. We loved the little kitchenette. The reception staff gave us the number of a laundry service which we appreciated. The local feel with lots of international travellers was nice, you easily get to chat with people by the pool. The breakfast was also good. It’s 5 minutes to restaurants by the park (Baldi’s was good) but have to take the bus or Uber to get up the hill.

Cons: Shampoo would have been nice and the shower temperature was very temperamental. They definitely need better blackout curtains because the lights in front of the door are on all night.

A good budget hotel - ideal for those planning to be out and about.

Pros: Location is amazing, straight onto the nicest bit of the beach. Facilities were basic but functional. Pool was surprisingly good.

Cons: Room was not very clean. Eg ceiling fan covered in dirt, and under the bed was disgusting. Kitchenette missing basic utensils, no kettle and only a single cup coffee machine.

Pros: Very nice hotel next to the beach! Location is the best part and also the staff is very nice, specially Rando.who was super helpful.

Cons: I stayed 5 night and suddenly cleaner on the 3rd night changed my pillows from the one that were just perfect to me to some very big/high and thick, so I ended with neck pain! It is really not acceptable to change something in the room while a person is there without being asked to do so!

Our favourite place to stay in Manuel Antonio

Pros: I have been here before so my expectations were met perfectly. It is not a luxury hotel but it is excellent value. A reasonably nice hotel right on the beach with extremely helpful staff, excellent onsite restaurant and only a short walk to the touristy area. We absolutely love staying here and will always come back!

Cons: There is nothing I 'don't like' about the hotel, i just think it's important for other gringos to know that it is a nice 'tico' hotel, not a luxury resort. It has everything you need, none of the unecessary luxuries you might get at a snooty hotel.

Beautiful place right on the beach, nice pool, big kitchenette rooms

Pros: Lovely place right on the beach and easy 15 min walk to the National park entrance. We asked on arrival to upgrade and they sorted us out with a kitchen room straight away. Big rooms - 2 double beds, well equipped kitchen and huge big bathroom. Lovely pool and easy access to beach. Staff were all very friendly. Comfortable beds, a few stairs at entrance and to rooms. Parking right out front. Kitchen had microwave, fridge, toaster, jug and plenty of plates-cups etc.

Pros: it was in a great location and the room was the right space for three adults and a child.

Cons: Everything went well in general
