El Nido Lodge

Pros: Lovely clean place for a more than reasonable price. People are helpful. Food is really nice and Henri from the restaurant is really friendly. We actually liked it a lot. Simple but good and friendly place.

Clean nice rooms and common kitchen

Pros: Modern and clean rooms incl very clean common kitchen

Cons: Close to street, earplugs are recommended

Pros: Hosts were brilliant and went out of their way to help us with various requests. Close to a lovely restaurant with spectacular sunsets. Perfect for what we needed.

Cons: 20 minute walk to Santa Elena, but wasnt a problem, as felt safe walking around at night.

Relaxing atmosphere, welcoming staff and clean, comfortable rooms

Pros: The accomodation was relaxing, beautiful and very clean. We loved our stay here and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with all of our questions and requests. The washing was great value and very quick, the beds were super comfortable and everyone was very kind. There were many local shops and restaurants in the nearby town which was only 10 minutes away. We would love to stay here again and would recommend to others

Cons: Being told in advance that the restaurant on site was closed would have been helpful but we were informed once we arrived so it wasn’t a big issue

Small lodge, near the main road

Pros: The property was clean, reception staff were helpful and friendly. It was a good stay for 3 nights.

Cons: The location is not so great, it was out of Santa Elena. Also, the included breakfast was very little and not the best quality.

Overall good stay

Pros: Comfy room, no air-con but the fan worked well. Nice to have the kitchen as an option to cook if you wanted to or just make a cup of tea. Enjoyed the trail at the back of the property following the yellow arrows for a walk into the town which was more scenic than going up the main road although the main road does have a good pavement. Hotel staff were helpful in organising excursions and transfers - we did a day at El Tigre waterfalls and also the night walk and really enjoyed it.

Cons: Quite a lot of traffic noise and also the wind when we were staying here so a bit of a disturbed sleep. We were disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open for lunch or dinner which seemed to be advertised on the pictures when booking. The staff at breakfast were friendly and it was pretty good however a bit odd that one day we turned up and it wasn’t open until after 9am when the guests who had breakfast included said they would be going, so would make sure to let the reception know when you want breakfast.

Nice stay

Pros: Nice place to stay. It is a bit out of the city center - 4 minute drive by car or 15-20 minutes walking (uphill). Rooms were nice and clean, and the hammock is nice.

Cons: Don't expect a nice view, it is surrounded by fences and a lot of other buildings

Cozy & Relaxing

Pros: So cosy, loved the hammacas, the facilities are good!

Cons: The location is a bit outside of the center, so you do need a car. But it’s also nice to escape the bustle of the center.

Best receptionist ever!

Pros: Receptionist Pablo is the best! So kind and welcoming! He gave us lots of useful information and tips. Great location, on the main road but not noisy inside the room. Basic facilities but very clean.
