Relaxing and full of flora and fauna

Peaceful stay for La Fortuna

Pros: We stayed in the spacious 3 bedroom house. The house has air-conditioning and a large open plan kitchen with all necessary kitchen utensils( had seen better days ) and a full sized fridge freezer. The garden is well maintained and the car port is very useful. There is a grocery shop and a Soda , local eatery, within 8 to 10 minutes of walk. The owner is very helpful. We saw more birds and animals including a sloth in the garden during our stay than one of the paid walks.

Cons: We had issues with hot water though the owner and his team tried their best to restart the boiler few times , we ended up having cold showers. The rooms lack wardrobes though we have been told they are on the way.

Pros: Great staff. Wide variety of birds to see on the branches by the breakfast area, attracted by strategically placed bananas. 😀

Cons: Wifi coverage was spotty and the speed was very slow even where the signal was strong.

Unforgettable stay! Toucans, treehouse views, and Jessie’s incredible hospitality

Pros: I had the most wonderful stay. The views were breathtaking from both my bungalow and the restaurant. I even got to watch toucans flying right past my window! Jessie was an incredible host, always making sure I had everything I needed. She was also fantastic at suggesting tours and sharing information on things to do each day, including the tours they run themselves. The breakfasts were homemade and absolutely delicious, a highlight of my mornings. The location was also perfect, just a short 30 minute walk to the well known rope swing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay.

Sleeping in the Jungle

Pros: You feel like living in the jungle… we really enjoyed our stay!

Cons: It would be maybe good to have mosquito screens, that you can keep the doors open and have some fresh air. Because I don’t really like sleeping with the aircon on. But this is not a real complaint:)

A peaceful and refreshing stay surrounded by nature. Just what I needed to unwind.

Pros: I had a wonderful time at this place. I was looking to recharge my energy surrounded by nature, and this jungle retreat was exactly what I needed. The peaceful atmosphere helped me disconnect and truly relax. Plus, the breakfast was delicious.

Cons: It's not a big deal but at times, I had difficulty unlocking the sliding door to my room. The keyhole was a bit stubborn, and I was afraid the key might break.
