Fantastic location, very nice hosts, great traditional food, would come back and maybe change room with better view.
Pros: Fantastic location. In the middle of the rainforest brizzling with life. We saw Macaws and colibris and tons of Tucans. A little family-style place with very nice hosts that helped us with planning and that made great traditional food for breakfast and dinner. Would come back!
Cons: It is a need for upgrading the facilities quite a bit. We were a family of five that slept in one big room. Simple but ok. Really liked it despite, though..

A very warm friendly place at a wonderful jungle location.
Pros: In the middle of the jungle. Nice feeling. Like you are visiting a family rather than a hotel. Great food!! The garden is a park with plenty of fauna. Saw Toucans. They have a waterfall which is a climb but really worth it.
Cons: A bit far from the center which is fine but the taxi really charges you. If you have a car go there!

Perfect location, wonderful staff
Pros: This lodge was exceptional - we had trails on site where we were able to find frogs and reptiles and lots of birds. Our balcony was secluded and perfect in the mornings and the food was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the natural pools are fantastic. Would highly recommend UNLESS you have any mobility issues - it is a steep climb to access the trails and the pools and the ground is uneven. This was not an issue for us and we loved every minute of our stay here.
Cons: nothing - we loved it.

Pros: Excellent staff that were very accommodating and helpful for booking tours. Good breakfasts. Good area for walks. Friendly dogs on the premises :)
Cons: If I had to complain about anything at all I'd say room could use a coffee maker but that's minor.

Beautiful location with huge garden, full of wildlife.
Pros: Beautiful location with huge garden, full of wildlife. Great place to relax or to discover the Arenal region. There were some problems with water pressure and wifi, but both was solved quickly by the helpful host.
Cons: The house (bathroom, kitchen) would need some small refurbishment, but was still absolutely acceptable.

Best place in La Fortuna
Pros: We had a fantastic experience at this accommodation. The cabin we were assigned was spacious and featured a lovely porch, perfect for enjoying the evenings. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Breakfast was not only delicious but also very affordable. The location was ideal, just 10 minutes from the center of La Fortuna, nestled in nature and tranquility, offering stunning views all around. Highly recommended!

Pros: Amazing friendly people, great location and wildlife spotting. Food was reasonably priced and delicious with the option of a restaurant right next door. Lots of activities to choose from in the general area.
Cons: It was a bit remote so getting anywhere required a car.

An eco jungle paradise experience, with friendly and generous hosts.
Pros: Our hosts were incredible - serving us delicious, healthy and hearty breakfasts and dinners, William’s care to assist us with bookings and arrange a perfect birthday cake surprise for our youngest; Esteban’s fun and informative hike and tour of the local river and waterfall, and the gorgeous, friendly, resident pet cats and dogs who delighted our boys with their company from the moment we arrived. Such a natural and beautiful location, with a waterfall-fed pool in the middle of the jungle. A fantastic first stop in Costa Rica for our family. We loved the sustainability aspect of this accommodation.
Cons: Some aspects were a little too rustic for me and past their best (light fittings etc), and - as expected - it’s by no means shiny accommodation, but it was great value with wonderful eco credentials.
